  1. The value from Fenix is truly amazing. I paid FSL $100 for just the sharklets on the A320 and A321.
  2. Definitely something I would have purchased right away if released a few years ago. Now I will wait and honestly I think its best to wait for 2024. Activesky generally charges for all versions so expect to buy this for MSFS2020 and again for 2024, if and when released.
  3. It has to do with the calibration of the toe brakes, maybe increasing the dead zone. I have been able to get mine to work but sometimes it just will not work. Here is a trick. Download Pushback Helper. https://flightsim.to/file/853/pushback-helper-v2-0 It has a set/release brake button that will work when you are in a jam.
  4. But don't you need to subscribe to the data source for $12/month ?
  5. Makes sense if you are looking for ultimate realism. I am not sure with my limited time to fly that I really want to deal with failures. I just want to enjoy a normal ops flight.
  6. Looks nice, but not sure where it will fit in to my hanger. I have the 414 and the TBM850. Not sure I have the time to fly another high performance small plane.
  7. It’s very software dependent in the sim. Fenix block 2 is butter compared with previous versions when I am using the same technique.
  8. Is this app useful for all computers/video cards or just for the most recent equipment? I have an older machine 1080Ti card.
  9. I have this issue sometimes but I always get a warning about my data being used up and to deactivate it. This happens no matter what my data settings are, and I have disabled and turned data to unlimited
  10. Good point, I guess they would not really know if there was other damage to the aircraft and better to be close to land than over the Pacific when another issue comes up. Looks like the aircraft completed the flight from LAX although I cannot tell if it was the same registration number.
  11. I wonder why they didn't just continue the trip to Japan. There was no danger in terms of the flight and this way they get to land empty and lighter. I am sure a wheel can be repaired in Japan.
  12. OK thanks, I went right into a flight after the update.
  13. Does anyone else have this where the bottom right corner has the never ending looping while circle after the Dune update? I also notice that trying to change controller settings for a specific aircraft takes forever now with a pause in between each selection.
  14. Thanks for the info. I have TrackIR, however, I no longer use it, preferring to go with the hat switch. For sure I will wait for FS2024 to see what that delivers and how current hardware stacks up. By that time maybe the 4090 will be "-1".
  15. So I have gone the longest time ever in delaying an upgrade to my flight sim computer. Last build was before MSFS and current machine is an 8700K (overclocked to 4.6) with 1080Ti graphic card. I have adjusted the settings to be what I consider very good, the aircraft graphics are great (PMDG, FENIX, etc), scenery looks good to me, maybe the LOD distance is too short, not sure. Performance is reasonable, I don't really look at frames but in and around 25 to 30, maybe slightly less on the ground at a busy airport. I really used to notice lots of stutters and pauses in P3D but not really noticing much if anything of that with MSFS. So the question is, what would I actually get out of a big upgrade to the latest and greatest ?
  16. CH Products Rudder Pedals, circa 2000. I have since replaced the CH Yoke and Throttle Quad as the pots were shot (replaced with Honeycomb Alpha, Bravo and T.1600 stick for Airbus).
  17. Thanks for the info, quite incredible how the interior design has changed the feeling is space in the same fuselage diameter.
  18. Question, is the fuselage of the 737 Max 8 larger than the 737-800 NG ? I ask becuase I was on one yesterday (United) and the interior seemed much more spacious than a regular 737NG. Perhaps its just the way the interior is designed so you get that perception, not sure. Regarding PMDG and the Max8. i may be interested as I have the 737-700 and never got the -800 which I really would have preferred but couldn't wait. This may be a way to fill that void.
  19. I find it odd that the HP200 uses so many resources when it real life is was a very small computer using no power by modern computer standards.
  20. I suspect its better for the developers to release individual airports at a lower price point, as they will generate more sales and total revenue.
