Did anyone try this fix? Is it any better now? For someone who wants to fly the A330 in MSFS2024, what's the best option? iniBuilds, LVFR, Headwind Simulations, or this Aerosoft?

I got my PPL in Canada in 2012 after having flown at home with FSX for one year. That one year was enough for me to know that I definitely want to learn how to fly and the introductory flight was enough to seal the deal. I soloed at 11 hours in a Piper Tomahawk and got the PPL in 5 months and then transferred over to the 172. I then enjoyed flying from 2012 to 2014 after which I left Canada to work abroad but I brought my simulator PC with me and continued simming. I got my license transferred to where I moved and I flew here for a bit but not as much as I did in Canada because there wasn't much to see and do here in terms of aviation and because the price was excessively high due to price fixing by the flying clubs. Crooks! A couple of years later, two Cessnas crashed and I don't feel safe flying here anymore. Too many holes lining up in the Swiss cheese piece on offer. I have since invested further in a new simulator PC and bought more hardware to increase the realism and immersion and I love it. I fly airliners for virtual airlines and I love being able to mimic real-life flights and ops from the comfort of my home. I use default weather coupled with RealTurb CAT Areas Global for MSFS by M. A. RealTurb. I love the extra wind effects and ground effect that MSFS2024 brought into play compared to MSFS2020.

No harm no foul but you're going to need more RAM before upgrading to MSFS2024 anyway.

Did you try the display pop-out called GlassOut. It's being sold for $18 and I heard/read that you can then interact with the MCDU and EFB even in touch mode.

Increasing your sim's rolling cache to something like 50GB or 100GB will make the sim download less from the internet as far as photogrammetry is involved.

FPS limiter and dynamic settings.

I finally installed the latest RC today and did a flight with it and it was flawless. Love the dark mode and the widget. I recued the widget's height once and that was it. Thank you! Can you please remind us where we can donate/buy you a coffee?

I was in the same situation as you and I bought a Winctrl URSA Minor from the EU version of their website and it is 100x better. Best upgrade I've done.

I was hesitant to transition from 2020 to 2024 but I took the plunge when 2024 went on sale earlier this year and I couldn't be happier. The performance optimizations of 2024 were a big factor in my decision and I don't regret it at all since 2024 runs much better on my medium-range CPU compared to 2020. The fact that you can natively limit FPS in 2024 and then use frame gen to get stable and fixed FPS is hands-down the best feature for me as it ensure the lowest latency compared to externally limiting the FPS in 2020. I have a 20 Mbps DSL connection and never have any problem with bandwidth. I run a 50GB rolling cache.

There has been newer methods that significantly lessen the fps drop thanks to frame gen on the pre-rendered lower resolution. More details about it below. Also works on 20- and 30- and 40-seriee cards https://youtu.be/GZY6UzNvdJA
