April 17, 200521 yr What do you want to know? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
April 17, 200521 yr Author Thanks for the reply.I have the paint kit for the Wings of Power P-51 Mustang.http://shockwaveproductions.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=780I am trying to do a repaint, but the repaint is not showing up on the model. It's just gray, the background of the paint kit is gray.Maybe you could take a look at it and guide me in the right direction. It's probably a basic step that I am missing. Thanks in advance.Ed
April 17, 200521 yr Hey Ed :)Just took a look at the paint kit. Is it you're trying to add something to the paint kit but you can't see it? Or is it you've successfully added something to this paint kit but it isn't showing up properly in Flight Sim? Maybe posting a shot could help :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
April 18, 200521 yr Author I can paint the nose of the Mustang and put a name on the left side too.I merge the layers and save it as a bitmap. Then copy the bitmap file to the texture folder. Maybe I'm not merging the layers correctly? When I view the model it's just all gray, the color of the paint kit template I presume? It just has to be a couple of steps to get this to work right.Could you maybe post a quick 1, 2, 3, 4 on how to say make the nose of the Mustang blue? Thanks,Ed
April 18, 200521 yr It sounds as though you're placing the bmp straight into the aircraft texture folder without any converting? If so, not to worry.. this is a step many leave out when starting out.Is this of any use?ClickPlease excuse any spelling mistakes, these tutorials were done mostly late at night :) I need to update them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
April 18, 200521 yr Glad to hear! :)If theres any more problems.. I'm always floating around here. :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
