October 19, 200718 yr I've decided to try my hand at aircraft repaints. I have no problem making a bezier curve but I can't figure out how to taper the lines at the end. I've included a couple pics to illustrate what I'm trying to do. This isn't the repaint I'm actually doing, but just an example. I need to make my gold lines wide at the tail and taper narrower at the nose.Thanks,Adamhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/179046.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/179047.jpg
October 19, 200718 yr You could either do 2 separate bezier curves and paint the middle. This will take a little practice and patience.ORI forget if PSP has the ability to work using vector graphics. If so you could make the bezier curve as a path and just fiddle about with the nodes to make the end wider. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
October 20, 200718 yr Yes mate, get yourself a solid copy of Photoshop CS3 (or any version) and just use the pentool to tapper and widen..In PSP? I can't tell you how to do it... but there must be a similar tool..
October 20, 200718 yr Thanks guys for the advice. PSP does have vector graphic ability. I'll try that out. I did manage to make a point to point line narrow, just have to work it out with the curve. I'm also going to look into Photoshop as an editing tool.Again, thanks,Adam
October 21, 200718 yr I'v just uploaded a pentool video tutorial (CS3) : http://www.mcphatstudios.com/tutorials/tutorials.htmlOne problem : It is in Dutch, but if you fastforward to 2m50s (the first part is an explanation on the different modi of the pentool) you should be able to 'follow' the tutorial just fine. At least to get an idea of how it works in CS3...(and maybe it works the same in PSP).Good luck.
October 23, 200718 yr An excellent tutorial Zacherius. As stated before ,PSP also has the tools to do this.Just a small suggestion, try to make the volume for the sound increase. ( in the next tutorial)The voice-over is very weak and there is a huge amount of amplifier-noise.Leen
October 24, 200718 yr My mic is hanging loose from the socket since I stepped on it (that's what you get if you don't clean up your stuff), so I think that is the noise you hear..But thanks for the tip Leen!
October 31, 200718 yr Thanks for the video. I watched it and it was helpful. Unfortunately I don't have CS3. I will look into picking it up.Adam
November 18, 200718 yr I watched it as well, and it seems like the dude knows his stuff. I just think it would be handier in English, cause now I still have to guess a lot of what he is doing.
