April 14, 200818 yr Hey all,I am practically brand new to painting and just started painting a PMDG 747-400F paint and have gotten about halfway done with it and have been attempting to load it into FS9 with no luck so far. I have FSRepaint and it loads into FSR just fine with no problems.I saved the BMPs as DXT3's in DXTBmp and made, what I think, is the proper entry into the Airplane.cfg entry in the 'PMDG747-400F' folder. I copied the entry from the first paint entry [fltsim.0] and just changed the texture reference folder to my aircrafts folder and the number in the sequence. I haven't been able to find out why it loads properly into FSR but not in FS9. The texture name doesn't even show up under the PMDG 747-400 aircraft lists - FS9 isn't recognizing the folder/paint at all. Here is my entry in the cfg:[fltsim.7]title=PMDG - 747-400F GE CF6 Enginessim=B747-400Fmodel=GEFpanel=sound=texture=ABDkb_checklists=PMDG747-400_CHECKatc_id_color=0xffffffffatc_id=TF-AMOatc_airline=Atlantaatc_flight_number=ui_manufacturer=Boeing-PMDGui_type=747-400F GE-CF6 Enginesui_variation=Air Atlanta Icelandicdescription=Boeing 747-400F with CF6-80C2B1F engines v 1.0nPrecision Manuals Development Groupnwww.precisionmanuals.com nFor use with BOEING 747 by PMDG nFor Technical Support please visit www.precisionmanuals.com or email [email protected] nPMDG Developer and Customer Forum available at our website. nSounds Developed by PMDG nFSUIPC Commercially Licensed from Pete Downson nAll Artwork encoded using Digimark Technology nThank you for supporting PMDG!nvisual_damage=0atc_heavy=1parking=CARGO, RAMP, MIL_CARGOAny help is greatly appreciated!
April 15, 200818 yr the first line of that entry should be(fltsim.xx) where the xx is the next number from the last fltsim.##and change the () to square brackets []try that , see if it helps
April 15, 200818 yr Author >the first line of that entry should be>>(fltsim.xx) >>>where the xx is the next number from the last fltsim.##>and change the () to square brackets []>>try that , see if it helpsIt actually is in there, it just didn't copy over when I pasted it.
April 15, 200818 yr A round about option for you to try your paint would be to download another repaint from PMDG and load them .Then copy your textures into that variant.Obviously you would have to edit the airline ,though it seems to me that you already know how to do that.I know it seems a bit long winded but it does work , I use this method to test various repaints that i am doing ,not just with PMDG but with quite a few aircraft.Mark
