  1. I've never understood why the FSX people feel they have to come to the FS9 forum and put down people who think FS9 is perfect for themselves. If you think FSX is the greatest thing ever, fine, post it to the FSX forum. this is the FS2004 forum, for people who use FS9.I'm glad for Mart that he's discovered how much better FS9 runs on his computer.Welcome to FS9, Mart!
  2. Try clicking on the options tab, then controls, then assignments.select restore default, should put everything back.
  3. I don't know what the problem is with your plane, mine, right now is cruising at 13000 - 104 KIAS and 149 kts ground speed...just had to reduce the rate of climb on the AP to about 500 FPM
  4. I'm guessing you're talking about AI traffic?in the sim, click on the options tab, then settings, then traffic.set it at 100% and see all the traffic you can stand. if that's not what you're talking about, then I can't help
  5. maybe you could alias the sound for your ai traffic to some of your flyable planes?
  6. i have almost the same paint job already, i'll change some colors and make some adjustments and see how it looks
  7. Not seeing what's going on, I would still bet that the textures either are wrong format for the sim to show them, or are named wrong. It might be a good idea to try to contact the author about it...but then again, you're running vista. you might try logging in as administrator, then reinstall the planes and see if it helps.
  8. you might try saving the flight, then when you update the skin, reload the flight. that works in FS9, so maybe in FSX also. your sarcastic post is noted, and appreciated, as usual.
  9. that's what I love about your "so called" expertise, Leen. so, your reply didn't show up for some reason when I posted my reply.your attitude really stinks. I guess if i want to reply to someone else, i should PM you and ask your permission first?Or maybe say the heck with it, and not offer any more advice.you make this forum a real joy to visit.
  10. since i don't use FSX i can't say it works there, but in fs9 if you turn off your AI traffic it will reload your current aircraft better. I was given this advice from another forum and can't remember where it was. but it doesn't cost anything to try.
  11. duplicate the background layer, with all the details, set the copied layer to "multiply" then make your painting layer below that one. should work like a champ.
  12. is your display set to 32bit?
  13. For Mike's original model, check here...http://www.simviation.com/fs2004props97.htm
  14. I don't know where you downloaded it from, but that isn't Mike Stone's panel for that plane, which probably has something to do with your problem. it's a really nice plane for short field take off. can be airborn in the width of the runway.
  15. FSRepaint is a great program for reviewing your repaints, without having to boot up the sim.I tried it linked direct to PSP but since i like saving my working files in bmb and psp formats, i went back to just using FSR as a viewer, it works great for that.
  16. I don't have fsx, and haven't painted anything for it, but, doesn't it require a thumbnail pic of the plane for it to show up?
  17. you can also try moving the mip-map slider to the right. if you start getting moire artifacting on the buildings, move it back to the left a little.
  18. as i said before, just pull the faulty light textures from the texture folder. you won't have any of the hi-lited parts, but , that's life.
  19. just remove the lighting textures. you won't have any lit up fuse then but you won't see the other texture either.and if you emailed the painter and referred to him as a "complete retard", i don't blame him for not replying to you.
  20. I thought it was evidence that the moon really is made of green cheese...:-shy
  21. check in game:options/settings/display go to hardware section and make sure the current video device is selected. sometimes it still tries using the old onboard graphics.
  22. johnh_049 replied to a post in a topic in The FS2004 (FS9) Forum
I think it all depends on the modeling program that was used for the plane. some FS2002 planes work well in FS9, but some end up like that one.
  23. if all else fails, make sure you have crash detect turned on in the sim.
