  1. I'm also seeing this error using the PTAbsolute preset. If I disable the offending custom tweak (cloud directional lighting 3) it installs without error but then I have no clouds in the sim at all. It only works properly by disabling all custom cloud tweaks.
  2. Hi Keven! I've always been using experimental updates. I've just turned them off and panning is smooth again.
  3. Hi! Just started experiencing a problem where if I move the camera using the keyboard and pan with the mouse at the same time the movement appears to skip or jitter. The problem doesn't happen if I use a controller or if I pan and move individually. It only occurs when I try to do both at the same time. It was fine when I last flew on Friday. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Using Prepar3D V4
  4. I've noticed this too. It's a very regular half-second stutter every 5 seconds or so while panning. Rolling back to the stable version eliminates it.
  5. I'd love to see a DA-42 Twin Star. Just finished my IR in one and I loved it. B)
  6. It's not working for me at the moment either mate.
  7. Bought this a few days ago, and initial impressions are very good. Seems like a fun aircraft to fly. Can't wait until I get some free time to have a proper play around with it.The only thing that does annoy me, is the payware liveries. I only need 3 or so liveries. Unfortunately they're spread across all 3 packages...I'm not overly keen spending
  8. I'm going to be staying with FS9 for the foreseeable future. I have neither the money nor the time to invest in upgrading my computer just to run FSX. Even if I did, the spending wouldn't stop there, because then i'd have to pay for all my add-ons again to make them work. FS9 still works extremely well as a simulator and it looks pretty darn sweet now that REX 2004 is out!
  9. Hi everyone!Thought i'd give the 757 another go recently, but I was immediately reminded why I stopped using it.Set myself up for a manual crosswind landing. 12-15 kts from the left. Of course on approach, the nose is out to the left. Over the threshold, the time comes to kick it in the right direction by applying right rudder. Now this is where the problem starts. The aircraft starts to drift to the left (i.e. towards the direction of the wind). So to stop that tendancy I have to land on the wrong wheels (downwind wheels first). Then it flounders all over the runway whilst slowing down. That can't be right, surely. None of my other add-ons display this behaviour. It is the latest version (v1.3 I believe) Any clues? Many thanks in advance! :(
  10. mmm, that's strange. I just did a search for "CanarySim" on the Avsim library and all three parts are there. :(EDIT...disregard that, I understand what you mean. I just tried to redownload it to check if the file works...it doesn't. :(Flightsim.com have it. I downloaded from a there a few weeks back.
  11. Just thought i'd bring this back to the top. I've pretty much got the same problem. I've got similar specs: Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 2.0GHz 4GB RAM nVidia 9600M GT 512MBAlthough my problem doesn't really include dense scenery. Away from heavy cloud, i've seen my framerates climb into the 70s. But as soon as heavy cloud comes into the picture, my framerate falls to about 10-15 (i.e. a stuttering mess), particularly when panning across the horizon. I tried out my old computer the other day, and while that can't do dense scenery very well, it doesn't flinch when presented with an overcast layer.I don't think it's Vista. I've found that if I turn off AA from nHancer, the problem goes away. So it's probably something to do with the way the graphics card handles AA. Which is a pain, because I can't really upgrade this laptop. Everything is packed away very tightly...*sighs* I still can't run a 6 year old application acceptably...:(
  12. :( Glad you got it sorted! :(
  13. Hi mate!No problems here. I sent my request for an Activation Key on Sunday and got it on Monday. Firstly, are you using the exact email address you used to purchase the product? I'm not sure whether that matters or not, but it does state that in the instructions. Also, have you (and I'm sure you have) checked any spam/junk inboxes and checked to see if AC's support email is blocked in any way?If it's not there, try getting in touch with them again, explaining the situation.
  14. Thanks mate! :-) I must admit, I did get caught out the first time I tried the CS 757 as well! :-lol Normally they're aligned and ready to go...And the A319 in the videos is the freeware Project Airbus model merged with the payware Wilco Airbus Series Volume 1 panel. It's quite a nice little package I find! Thanks,Greg W.My Videos http://www.youtube.com/PilotGW
  15. Hi!Have you made sure that you've aligned the IRU's? On the overhead panel (very top left) you should see three white selectors. Whilst the aircraft isn't moving, switch each selector from "OFF" to "NAV" and wait for the "ALIGN" lights to extinguish. Then your Autopilot should function properly.Hope that helps! :-) Thanks,Greg W.My Videos http://www.youtube.com/PilotGW
