  1. I'd love to see a DA-42 Twin Star. Just finished my IR in one and I loved it. B)
  2. It's not working for me at the moment either mate.
  3. Bought this a few days ago, and initial impressions are very good. Seems like a fun aircraft to fly. Can't wait until I get some free time to have a proper play around with it.The only thing that does annoy me, is the payware liveries. I only need 3 or so liveries. Unfortunately they're spread across all 3 packages...I'm not overly keen spending
  4. I'm going to be staying with FS9 for the foreseeable future. I have neither the money nor the time to invest in upgrading my computer just to run FSX. Even if I did, the spending wouldn't stop there, because then i'd have to pay for all my add-ons again to make them work. FS9 still works extremely well as a simulator and it looks pretty darn sweet now that REX 2004 is out!

mmm, that's strange. I just did a search for "CanarySim" on the Avsim library and all three parts are there. :(EDIT...disregard that, I understand what you mean. I just tried to redownload it to check if the file works...it doesn't. :(Flightsim.com have it. I downloaded from a there a few weeks back.

Just thought i'd bring this back to the top. I've pretty much got the same problem. I've got similar specs: Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 2.0GHz 4GB RAM nVidia 9600M GT 512MBAlthough my problem doesn't really include dense scenery. Away from heavy cloud, i've seen my framerates climb into the 70s. But as soon as heavy cloud comes into the picture, my framerate falls to about 10-15 (i.e. a stuttering mess), particularly when panning across the horizon. I tried out my old computer the other day, and while that can't do dense scenery very well, it doesn't flinch when presented with an overcast layer.I don't think it's Vista. I've found that if I turn off AA from nHancer, the problem goes away. So it's probably something to do with the way the graphics card handles AA. Which is a pain, because I can't really upgrade this laptop. Everything is packed away very tightly...*sighs* I still can't run a 6 year old application acceptably...:(
  7. :( Glad you got it sorted! :(
  8. Hi mate!No problems here. I sent my request for an Activation Key on Sunday and got it on Monday. Firstly, are you using the exact email address you used to purchase the product? I'm not sure whether that matters or not, but it does state that in the instructions. Also, have you (and I'm sure you have) checked any spam/junk inboxes and checked to see if AC's support email is blocked in any way?If it's not there, try getting in touch with them again, explaining the situation.

Thanks mate! :-) I must admit, I did get caught out the first time I tried the CS 757 as well! :-lol Normally they're aligned and ready to go...And the A319 in the videos is the freeware Project Airbus model merged with the payware Wilco Airbus Series Volume 1 panel. It's quite a nice little package I find! Thanks,Greg W.My Videos http://www.youtube.com/PilotGW

Hi!Have you made sure that you've aligned the IRU's? On the overhead panel (very top left) you should see three white selectors. Whilst the aircraft isn't moving, switch each selector from "OFF" to "NAV" and wait for the "ALIGN" lights to extinguish. Then your Autopilot should function properly.Hope that helps! :-) Thanks,Greg W.My Videos http://www.youtube.com/PilotGW
  11. Thanks for your reply mate! :-) Trouble is, I was using "Instant Enhancer's" moon texture, and I just tried reinstalling it. Nothing happened unfortunately.EDIT Don't worry guy's, I just found the support forum for "Instant Enhancer" (Cielosim) there is a known problem with the moon and a fix! I'll give that a whirl!Strange I didn't notice it before. I've had the add-on for about a month or two... Thanks,Greg W.My Videos http://www.youtube.com/PilotGW
  12. Hi everyone! :-wave I've got myself into a bit of a problem...my moon is playing up. When zoomed out, the moon is hidden by some weird and random tile. However, as I zoom in, the tile gradually fades, until I zoom out again. See screenshots below:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/191708.jpgZoomed out...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/191709.jpg...and Zoomed inI fear it may have something to do with a balked defrag attempt. Using JkDefrag (Complete/NAME method), it took me 3 whole days (yes...72 hours) to get to the 90% point, and I was leaving the house for a week, so I had to stop it. According to the developer it's safe to do that... :-roll However, even before the defrag, I was having problems with texture loading. At complex add-on scenery (namely Aerosoft's Heathrow), I had to force a scenery refresh before any of it's textures would even load.I was just wondering if anyone can shed any light on the situation. If at all possible, I want to avoid a complete reinstall. I have so many add-ons it would take me months to get it back up and running! Thanks,Greg W.My Videos http://www.youtube.com/PilotGW
  13. "Hi. Sorry to interrupt. I wonder if someone can tell me ifthe 300 expansion pack is only a stretched visual model of the757-200. Is there anything worth the purchase price of the300?Michael"Hi Michael!I think that's essentially it. It's just a model of a 757-300, which adds into the "757-200 Pro Pack" to provide it with the systems modelling of the base package. And I would assume (no, hope!) weight and balance is different in the -300.I think it depends what you really want. If there are particular airlines you like to fly that operate the 757-300, or you're a major 757 fan, then you may be interested in buying it. I haven't purchased it because none of the airlines I tend to fly operate the type. Saving my money for elsewhere! :-lol Thanks,Greg W.
  14. Kind of...they now offer something called the "757-200 Pro Pack" which includes pretty much all of the original blocks (model, soundsets, configuration tool) as well as the new Block F (systems modelling and such). However, you still have to buy the 757 Freighter and 757-300 model expansions separately (if you really need to...they're entirely optional). Thanks,Greg Wills

  20. Hi everyone! :-waveI'm sorry if any of these questions have already been answered, but I've been searching high and low, but have failed to come up with any answers. I'm getting urges to part with my money for this package, purely for the A330, 777, A340 and A32X.Firstly, does the A330-200 (not the A330-300) come with all three engine types (GE, PW and RR), or is it just the GE variant?Secondly, do the paintkits come in PSD format...or are they just plain BMPs?Lastly, does it include wingviews (as part of the VC viewpoint, without having to use Walk and Follow)? It's not essential, I know, but it's nice to have.Again, I'm sorry if these questions have been answered. Thanks in advance :-hah Thanks,Greg WillsBritish Airways Virtual Airbus Senior Captain (BAW0490)Student Pilot (EGSG - Cessna 152):-shy Heather O'Rourke and Jenny Beck fan :-shy

  22. Happened to me too. On a flight from Heathrow to Orlando. It took me from London to France down to central north Africa then across the middle of the atlantic across the west Indies and then to Orlando. I was quite new to FS when I flew that flight so I took it! 13 hours does get boring sometimes! :-lolI've also been looking hard for a new Flight planner. :-(Cheers,Greg Willshttp://publish.hometown.aol.co.uk/pilotgre...im%20banner.jpg Good day from England! :-wave
  23. Thanks for the reply.I never even went over 20 fps in FS2002 :-erks and the max fps I got in FS2004 was 19.9 which only stayed for a second until it dropped to 5 then 3 then 1 then 5. :-lolI think i'm gonna get a TI4200. It seems to be the popular one around here. I also gonna get more another 512mb ram card. I hope that helps me? :-shy But I reckon it's my CELERON. :-(Cheers,Greg Willshttp://publish.hometown.aol.co.uk/pilotgre...im%20banner.jpg Good day from England! :-wave
  24. Thanks guys,I don't think I will bother with a CPU and OS upgrade. Just the Graphics card. :-)>Greg obviously is not telling us something. Is he flying through dense thunderstorms or using some high end AA option. With the same computer you can get between 60 and 4 fps depending what you throw at it.I've tried it with NO clouds before now. And I have no AA either.>Don't know if you are running nViewNope. But there's somthing in my system tray called NVIDIA Media Center. Dunno if disabling that would help me along a bit?Once again Thankyou all. :-)Cheers,Greg Willshttp://publish.hometown.aol.co.uk/pilotgre...im%20banner.jpg Good day from England! :-wave
