FS9 plane does not show up in FSX aircraftmenu

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I have a strange problem.Thim moment I am working on the conversion of the fantastic Junkers 52 made by Oliver Fischer. It was quiet a job converting files and editing files to make them work in FSX, nevertheless I succeeded. Now my problem:When I add the plane to simobjects/airplanes the plane does not show up in the menu.Strange enough clicking one of the other planes the the Ju52 appears.Extra detail information is also showed correctly.Starting up the plane goes dito , and flying the beast is problemless and fantastic. Can anyone tell me whot to do to make the plane appear normally in the menu, without hiding behind otnet planes.?Leen de Jagerhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/194555.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/194556.jpg

Hi LeenFor FSX menu display you will need to add a Panel folder. You can either copy from one of FSX's default aircraft or make an alias panel.cfg with text such as [fltsim]alias=C172\panelYou will then find that the aircraft displays.CheersMike

Hi LeenI think you will need to have the panel referring to one of the FSX default aircraft. I suggested C172 in my above example. Try it.CheersMike

I don't have fsx, and haven't painted anything for it, but, doesn't it require a thumbnail pic of the plane for it to show up?
