January 18, 200818 yr I was wondering how one might go about getting information about the windows from other programs or parts of flight simulator? Details such as the ATC Window prompts?I am thinking of a program/addon that would allow the user to use voice prompts to interface with flight simulator ATC that is built in. I've tried other voice ATC programs and been a bit dismayed. All I would like is a bit simpler ATC and what better than whats already in the software? Depending on what you can send to the ATC controller via 1-0 keys, the voice reco program/addon would recognize only certain responses from the user. If talking to a tower controller, the options are:0 - Request Taxi1 - Open Flight Plan2 - XXXso the program would respond to:Daytona Tower, Cessna 33412PS on the ramp, request taxi with B.and see it as [blah blah don't care] request taxi [blah] and send the ATC 0 key command to flight simulator. It's more realistic than hitting the keyboard, but not so out there that new pilots cant use the system as they don't know the verbage. Also, saying "ATC 1" or "ATC 0" just doesn't cut it and the way options come and go on the ATC page make static recognition impossible. One menu, File Flight Plan is option 1, the next menu in a different situation its option 5.I hope there's an answer out there somewhere. Aaron
May 7, 201016 yr Commercial Member We, at FS++ have cracked the nut.But it is a closely guarded secret. You won't find it in any book or FS SDK. And that's why VoxATC had to opt for an external solution. We only managed that after spending 4 years debugging fsInsider.dll inside the FS process. There is a demo here which you can try for free.http://www.multicrewxp.comWhen aircraft is ready to fly, ask the co-pilot: "what are the ATC options", and you'll witness the holy grail :-))Hope you understand why we can't share.I wish you good luck!Gerald Reilly Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
