Project Tupolev NVUCalc Problem.

Featured Replies

I have spent the evening frying my small brain trying to get my new TU-154 B2 off the ground but I've hit a snag. I have loaded a FS Flight Plan into NVUCalc and added a few Mag Variations, then I click "calculate" and "export to channel". I choose a channel and click OK but it then comes up with an error that says "the system cannot find the file specified". Anyone else had this and solved it. I have tried it with a FS plan, and a supplied .CSV file, still no joy.I have the reccomended installation with the 2 patches applied. Please help!Other than that, I love it!!P.S.Many thanks to Micheal Ackermann for the translation, without it I'd be dead in the water!

Jim,that's a weird issue, that happens sometimes for strange reasons. The programs sometimes looks for the FS 2002 EXE Path in the registry and can't find that if only FS2004 is installed.Try this first : http://www.avsim.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=6154At the bottom of page 1 in this thread you see a link to a corrected version. If this doesn't solve the problem , here is a workaround. Don't worry, we don't change your existing registry entries, we just make a new (dummy) one :1. Use START and RUN to open the registry editor with regedit.2. Jump to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator3. Make a new registry key named 8.0 (Edit, New, Key)4. Now jump to that new HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator8.05. Again using Edit and New, make a new string value with the name: EXE Path 6. Now for that EXE path, set the value of your FS2004 installation directory, e.g. C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9If you go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator9.0 and look at the EXE Path entry, you see exactly how it must look like. To sum it up, you need to copy that EXE path string to the 8.0 entry, you created before. The thread mentioned above shows some corresponding screenshots. Thanks for the nice words regarding my manual, much appreciated !Michael

Hoorah! Thanks, I am fixed now. I have got the NVU working. I flew the tutorial flight but found myself offset by about 10Km North. I switched to manual Navigation about 200Km out of UWGG, performed a perfect-ish approach and then found that Nishny-Novgorod has no ILS in FS9!!!!! Imagine my distress as I bear down on a very small runway in complete disarray at 260Km/H, totally out of control and heavily confused. It's just as well that I have a job where no-one gets hurt if I mess up!! How much does it cost for a new set of wheels for a Tupolev 154?I would like some UWGG Scenery if someone knows where to find it.Domestos

If there a (better) text explaining how to use the NVUCalc?Having a Danish win2000 system I have some problem finding out what the buttons stand for and how to use it.regardsTorben Andersen

Torben, check out this thread, it describes how to change the language setting for Windows XP :http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...sg_id=252&page=I don't have Win2000, but assume, there's a similar possibility in regional or language options.I know, it is not convenient, but that's as it is for now.Michael
