  1. If I buy the -200ER, do I get the F when it comes out? Or is it more money? Jim
  2. I thought that might be the case, thanks for trying though! Jim
  3. Hi I tried all of those but none worked. The inputevents were not present in 2024 Jim
  4. OK, I'll give that a try after work.... Thanks for helping! Jim
  5. Hi.. I did do that but there's no reference to the Transponder in it... Jim
  6. I have written a script to do my after-landing flow in the A350 but I'm not sure which command I need to turn the transponder to standby. Can someone help. Bear in mind I'm not really sure about anything relating to coding and such. I'm looking for something like this (>K:PMDG_737-TRANSPONDER_STANDBY) but for the INI aircraft. Thanks Jim
  7. Go ahead... Do you have a good presentation style and/or a background in Aviation? I'd watch it if you were any good and wouldn't begrudge you getting free stuff.
  8. My personal opinion is that historically more people fly Airliners because even in the old days of FSX etc the experience was pretty good given the technology of the time. GA /VFR was not really tenable because the ground detail was dreadful. In 2024 (and 2020) the ground is beautiful! I can see my house, I can navigate totally visually around the area where I live and it's just pleasing to watch the world go by. Throw in a bit of jeopardy like an approaching storm and it can get quite challenging very quickly. I would suggest to those who think they only like tubeliners to jump in the default 152 and fly to their neighbourhood. You might find it's something you can really enjoy. https://photos.app.goo.gl/os5s96Ak34ZrvkxS9 Jim
  9. Yep. I own that too. It seems to do a better job with vectoring in my experience. Although the basic voices are pretty Meh! I appreciate it's not a simple task to make an AI ATC program and hat's off to those that are trying to deliver one.
  10. I don't know if it's me but I have not had one single glitchless flight with SI. Either I get left too high on approach, or it zones out altogether. The pushback feature needs several goes to get it right and I've grown to hate the Tour guide. It's repetetive and irritating. If she tells me one more anecdote about her ex boyfriend I'll kick her out. I really think it's overhyped and does not really deliver, full of meaningless gimmicks and they really need to concentrate on delivering the basics. Solid AI, terrain awareness and traffic. I've used it for every flight in the last two weeks, hoping it will improve or I'll begin to enjoy it. I was going to go on about the positives in order to sound less rabid and more balanced, but as I type this I realise I'm actually really hacked off with it. I'm gonna go back to vectoring myself!
  11. Shame one has to navigate through all the grouchiness to get to the content. It's not really worth the effort. I know I won't change anything but it really hacks me off to wade through all the bad tempered rudeness this Forum seems to be renowned for. See, you've got me doing it now!!!!! Jim
  12. I think the reasonable thing to do is for eveyone in America to turn off their PC's NOW. I'll let you know when I'm ready. How does that sound? JimBo UK
  13. My mouse cursor (PC) vanished but i tabbed my way around the xbox screen
  14. https://gotravelyourway.com/airbus-a380-routes I found this if anyone needs inspiration....
  15. As you climb you should need to advance the throttles to maintain a set manifold pressure. At some point you will hit the endstops and if you continue to climb the manifold pressure will beging to drop (I think). This is when you should switch on the superchargers, (or move to the 2nd stage) In the PMDG DC-6 this is modelled well. You'll need to back off the throttle so that when you engage the superchargers it doesn't over boost your engines. I'm not sure if the Duckworks actually does this but thats the way it's supposed to work. This YT vid explains it nicely. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CQ9fDbKMas&list=PLGEyJ3_yISBtktA6Hv-QyUszEeGJa03iV&index=12 Jim
  16. Will that be payware?, it looks excellent. I'm off to search for your other stuff! Jim
  17. It's not a commercial site, it's a bunch of Flight sim enthusaists like you, and me. They don't have a responsibility to you so just sit tight and wait your turn. It's not as if you're paying for it.
  18. sorry to be thick, can I use ASCA with ASN? I don't have enough cash to get both this month so I thought I'd get ASCA whilst it's reduced and AS2106 after the payday bunny has visited. Jim Harris
  19. Thank Greg, It's a 22" 1920x1080 monitor. I'm just trying those settings now, I used override the application settings before, but I'll see how this works. As my eyesight slowly gets worse I'm thinking a big monitor would help! I just need to find the cash. Jim
  20. Sorry to ask this, but... What is the most up to date advice on Nividia Inspector settings now we're on 3.3 etc. I have shimmering quite badly and I'm trying to get rid of it. I have the following I5 4690 8.00 Gb ddr3 gtx 780 windows 10 Thanks Jim Harris
  21. The Los Angeles ARTCC is a good place to start. They have a respected pilot training program that would be ideal for you http://laartcc.org/ I've not tried it as I'm in the UK and can't seem to stay awake long enough. If you're prepared to move around the world you should find some atc on most times. It's mainly the early evening. Look for special events and book your flight in advance, that way you'll have more chance of full ATC for your journey. Go to Vatsim.net and scroll down to "upcoming events" That should get you off the ground (pun intended) Jim
  22. Dear Sir... I have just followed your advice concerning water cooling my GPU. The resultant explosion and blue flash has totally removed all of my hair, and the cats. Should I have used a bigger bucket? Jim
  23. I haven't been to Novia Scotia, but I had to tell you I had an R100RT called Claude. Best motorbike ever built!!! You could scare yourself witless without breaking the speed limit. To be true to the thread I'm going to go for a jaunt in my Piper after d'loading that scenery pack... Thanks Chaps. Jim
  24. Thanks mate! Even if this info is buried in the forums, taking the time to lay it out in a simple form is really helpful. It's hard sometimes to separate the wheat from the bull***** (sorry) Jim Harris
  25. Hallo... Well here we are 6 months later and P3d V2(.2!) is out. To the OP, what did you end up doing. I ask because I have an i5-750 @4.0Ghz and a gigabyte GTX 760oC. I would say my performance is merely OK. Cloud shadows are a no no. I was getting 28-30 fps in the air in the AXE over FTX Global last night on approach to UK2000 East Midlands but it dropped quite a bit when taxi-ing to the gate. I'm wondering how much an i5-4670K would help, anyone know? Jim
