English NAS and RSBN documentation for An24-RV

Featured Replies

I'm doing the final checks on the English AN24 navigation document. It is a 60 pages description about how to use AN24 gyroscopes, VOR, NDB and especially NAS and RSBN systems. It consists of some 40 pictures and figures describing courses, orthodromes and their relation to the aircraft equipment. For a while I will distribute the document based on individual request. After most errors are fixed I will upload it to Internet. For those who are ready to go through the document and test navigation features, please contact me directly.During writting the document I realized that AN24 navigation equipmentis a simpler, thus easier to understand form of equipment used in other planes as IL18 or Tu154. Reading this document and testing the features in An24 would help Tu154 pilots to understand the complex ANU system as well. Throughout the document there are some references to those more complex systems. The package contains a sophisticated Route Planner written in MS ExcelVBA. Its main feature are as follows:- Loading and saving route plans- Importing flight plans composed in FS or in FS Navigator- Exporting route plan for the

Hallo.I'd welcome the chance to test your document. I have just about understood the TU-154 and would love to help. Thanks

Me too. Although I still have to review some things. Maybe your manual helps on this (As I am sure it will).regards,

Hi I would be happy to have a look at itAndras

Well, as an adept aviator (also realworld) picked up the Ruskies so far either from Avsim.com or Avsim.ru (The Antonov range,TU-114 etc)and flew them exhaustively.Wonderfull simulations and they deserve proper documentation to stimulate them to greater heights.I feel your initiative supports this effort and willing to help out where I can. flying is an art....

Hi,I got several mails already requesting for the document. That's great. I received some comments and also discovered some bugs in my Flight Planner during the test flights. I fix them until the weekend and then let's go!Gabor

it's a pity, Gabor, I'm really disappointed since I was warming up on some stiff comments and dying to see if I all got it right so far :-))Anyway, looking forward to the fruits of your effortscheersdogsbodyflying Russian aeroplanes is an art....

>You can download the first version of my NAS and RSBN>documentation from here:>www.hrasko.com/gabor/srsz/AN24_RNAV_12102004.zipThere are some stupid bugs in the documentation and also I found a bug in the Route Planner (RSBN TO mode). A new version will be available soon.Gabor

Hi Gabor,I've found some bugs in the installation procedure too (e.g. point 10 in the installation procedure, the window numbers should be 12 and 13 instead of 11 and 12), but it's nonetheless a fantastic document, the basics are very well explained and I can only thank you for such a nice work!Thank you very, very muchRegards,Daniel
