Very interesting thread indeed, since I m getting a new comp soon as well... and my fiancee has nothing against it, what a miracle! :-beerchugI am still undecided between the Granite Bays and an "old" 845E... either the newest Gigabyte 8INXP (GB) or the very overclocable Epox or Abit. Cooling is indeed imperative here, thats why only top components are allowed. But no H20 or the Prometeia stuff -- too $$$ and high maintenance.Maybe I am gonna put the specs in a new thread....

Joshieca --I just ordered the new SLK-900 from thermalright w/ a 92mm nice quite Papst fan. A monster. But should cool my soon-to-be-bought 3.06 gig adequately with room for overclocking. I've only heard positive things about their products, top-notch actually. It is vital that the airflow in the case is good with such a big and obstructive behemoth heatsink... so its not only important which fans you buy but WHERE you put them in that cramped compartment ;-)Anyway I am glad you are satisfied with your setup!

I have burned up one graphics card already... The famous Geforce 4ti 4400 128mb agp. I had to get it replaced because I melted the last one. Talk about going through heck without flight sim for 2 weeks. I have my case open and a fan blowing into it, so that I will no longer melt any more cards. I have a friend who experienced the same thing with his GF card. All is well again, and hope that I don't have to go through it again....
