a319/329/321 problem

There are a couple of probable causes of this:1) It could be the Microsoft dead battery problem which is all to do with how the simulator loads state variables. We always recommend that you do not start your simulator session by going straight into the Airbus. What you should do is this:- start your FS session with a default Microsoft aircraft, for example the Boeing 737 or Cessna. Make sure the avionics are on and the engines are off. You can be at any airport.- save this flight as your default flight.- for this first time, re-start your simulator and load the new default flight.- you can now change to the PSS Airbus which can be cold and dark if you wish. For future FS sessions, load the default flight then change to the PSS Airbus. I always start my simulator session with the Boeing 737 but I don't think I've ever flown it!Also, if you don't have the registered version of FSUIPC you should edit the A320 aircraft.cfg and add the following line to the Electrical section:electric_always_available=1If you do have the registered version of FSUIPC make sure you set the "Extend Battery Life Indefinitely" box in the Miscellaneous page.2) Alternatively it could be the mouse flicker problem. To fix this:- there is a patch on the PSS website (the direct link is http://www.phoenix-simulation.co.uk/default.asp?pss=fixes). - also, in your panel.cfg file make sure in the window08 section that size_mm=2,2. - finally you might want to try going to the FS Views menu, then Instrument Panel and uncheck the SYSTEM ONLY - DO NOT USE line. For some pilots this has worked.Could you sign your name on your posts please, it just helps us to know who we are talking to. It may be the mouseflicker problem, but since I am an Idiot when it comes to manuell installation of zip files.I rather fly your 330/340 for now.Ola NielsenNorway

If you just manually adjust your panel.cfg in the way I said earlier that should be enough and you won't then need the patch file.

Hi. I have a similar trouble...I installed ABpro only the a320 version... everything is ok but the mouse flickering... So, I installed the patch and the mouse flickering is resolved but there's a big problem: the flight controls "shake"!! if I open the F/CTLS windows and try to apply left joystick I see the green ailerons indicators to shake in a very rapid movement up and down... Same thing with the ailerons!! I tried to uninstall the mouse flickering patch and the flight controls are ok again. I I re-apply it, the problem come again...Is there any solution??thanks a lot!!

I forgot to say that I'm using the keyboard because I'm waiting to buy a new joystick... is this a keyboard problem? I tried other aircrafts with keyboard and everything is ok...Furthermore I noticed that with the mouse-flickering patched panel, if I take a default FS plane in external view, then I switch to PSS A320 (in external view), every control surface is working properly... as soon as I enter in the cockpit view control surfaces starts shaking....Please, help me!!Thanks

>biosdi:>>you cannot fly the PSS Abus using the keyboard. you must use->a joystick. >>>--Why not? If I stay in external view I can fly for hours without any problem with keyboard...

i don't know the techincal reasons. i just know that PSS has never said the Abus will work by keyboard control of the flight surfaces -* http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=search* http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...&mode=full#8336* http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...=8305&mode=fullthere are more if you search 'keyboard' in the PSS Abus forum-

I downloaded the airbus pro some hour ago.I had no problems with the installation, but whenever I fly it,I have big problems with the flight controls.Suddenly the ailerons and elevator stop to work,It is like the stick is dead, and then it starts to work again.I have no problem with other aircraft(including pss a330/340)so it is not related to my joystick.I tried to uninstall and the installed again, but it didn,t help.I don,t like putting money out of the window,so suggestions are welcome.

Scoob is right: although some elements of the Airbus can be controlled by keyboard it is not fully flyable/controllable unless you have a joystick. In this respect we are no different from the real world version which also requires a joystick/sidestick :)Rob Elliott, EGPE Inverness.PSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
