777 2D panel lights

Recommended Posts

Hello,I was very surprised when switching on the panel lights to see this:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/132673.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/132674.jpgThis panel looks very nice and sharp, may be one of the best ever made 2D panels when it comes to graphic finishings, is easy to read even in 1024*768, but with the lights it looks bad.I have the same problem in 1280*960 but with higher resolutions (1280*1024 and more) it's fine. Can this be improved for my favourite 1024*768 resolution ?Thanks and best regards.Georges - IVAO Id 145418www.uas-va.org

that's how it shows in daylight, I doubt any changes will be made as it would rewuire changing every single gauge lighting section JohnPSS SUPPORTsupport@phoenix-simulation.co.ukhttp://www.avsim.com/pss/phoenix.jpg

Hi John,Thanks for your fast answer. I know it shows in green and like this. But i wanted to show you the details making it hard to read with the light:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/132684.gif"AUTO" and "5" degres bank angle are looking perfect. But the green light for "AP DISENGAGE", "L NAV", "V NAV"... is not aligned with the white text. These details corrected would make the panel look much better and easier to read.Georges - IVAO Id 145418www.uas-va.org

Hi,Yes i too have noticed this. It appears like the text is 'dancing' over the top of the other.I doubt if I will do much night flying...!RegardsDrayton

Night lighting is fine at night.During the day, when both white and green text are visible the above problem occurs. It doesn't really affect me, because during the day I don't fly with the panel lights on.During night, the white text isn't really visible, and so the green text is all you see, perfectly with no problems.-Phil

Its your resolution, in 1280 X 1024 it works fine during the day, besides the lighting is not needed during the day.

You're right, it's not needed by day, and at night you only see the green light. It's just frustrating to have a cool feature that looks bad in some cases (day and less than 1280*1024) because when it's well finished like the bank angle, I would fly with panel lights even by day.Best regards.Georges - IVAO Id 145418www.uas-va.org
