Where's your FS2002 path in the registry?

Recommended Posts

I'm working on an installer for aircraft repaints and scenery, and part of the installer is the ability to sense where the user has their FS2002 installed. In order for this to work properly, I need to know where to look in the registry to find that path. On my XP system, it's located atHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator8.0 in the ExePath key. Can those of you who are running another OS, especially Windows 98, ME and 2000 please let me know where their path to FS2002 is stored? I know MS has a habit of shifting this information around in the registries of various OSs, so I want to make sure and get it right.thanks a bunch,

For sure Bill. I would have made the same assumption. The only reason I knew is that I have a set of reg entries that I've used on everything except Win2000 but I know that it's the same as XP. Funny how MS decides what to change and what to leave alone.Doug
