2008 RTW Race, New Website URL

To the online flight simulation community:It's my pleasure to announce the 2008 Microsoft Flight Simulator Around-the-World Race on behalf of the race's executive committee. Once again, Avsim.com, Flightsim.com, and Sim-Outhouse.com will be competing for the "Tornado Trophy" in a race around the world.This year's race will begin on February 16, 2008 at 11:30 AM Eastern Standard Time, 4:30 PM Zulu Time. As in the previous two years, the race will begin with a special multiplayer kick-off, in which teams will be able to compete for time bonuses by mustering large numbers of pilots and successfully completing a sets of flight challenges. The race will again be governed by the general rules that have been in place since its inception. A set of routing requirements and special rules specific to this year's race and reflecting current events will be made public 24 hours before the race begins.Once again, pilots and spectators will be able to follow the race online via a number of tracking tools at the race's website, and through each team's race forum. The race's website has finally been moved to a permanent home, and may now be found at http://www.fsrtwrace.com. The website is the official source for information on the race, and contains its full rules, frequently asked questions, the latest race news, and other useful content.Last year's race was our most competitive ever.
