Just purchased VOX 2.71.Installed ok, headset which is a sharkoon working fine.Filed a quick flight plan, IFR Manchester to Liverpool, also tried Manchester to Birmingham.Selected aircraft, dep airport, wx and time.Tried to enable VOX from the menu screen within flight sim, it stated that it was initializing 2.71, but ten minutes it still hadn't loaded. Plus the computer went on a go slow. Looking at the internal aircraft clock, it moved 10 seconds in about 12 minutes. Eventually the computer screen saver kicked in. Had to reset and tried again, still no luck!Uninstalled and then reinstalled, but the same happened. Is this because it is a new program and has to take time to setup on the first use? Please help, very frustrated. XP is upto date as far as Iam aware, no auto updates outstanding.I have an Athlon 2600, 2.2Ghz with 1Gig of RAM and a Radeon 9600 256MB Graphics Card. Thanks in advance

Hello Nath1,Did you save the flight once you had it all set up? VoxATC reads off of a saved flight with attached flight plan. Set up your flight as you did before but save it, then open that saved flight up from the "select a flight" menu in FS2004. If it still doesn't work make sure that you notify support at VoxATC and include information about your computer and other software. My suspicion is that VoxATC is looking for the saved flight and since it can't find it you are getting a huge CPU load.Hope this helps,Zane

Thanks Zane, will give it ago.

No luck!!!!!!Tried your suggestion, but it still didn't work.Managed to use the trainer and practiced the saved flight plan, but it wouldn't work when the sim was loaded. When you set a flt plan, you can only select the airport from the orignal list and not from the addon list. Could it be that the sim is trying to read the original scenery and can't find it because British Airports is the scenery used? Just an idea.An further help would be greatly appreciated!

Just an>idea.>>An further help would be greatly appreciated!I don't understand about not being able to select an airport from the add-on list. VoxATC doesn't have anything to do with airport selection. First, make sure you run the VoxATC indexer (any additional changes in aircraft or scenery after first installing VoxATC will require this). Then let me make sure you are going to the "create a flight" window, selecting the aircraft you want to use, then creating a flight plan (or loading an existing flight plan), saving this entire flight situation, then going to the "select a flight" menu and loading that saved situation. After that is loaded and you are sitting in the aircraft you are then enabling VoxATC from the menu. You should get a white menu box with a blue border that says something about activating VoxATC 2.71. Don't touch anything else until this is fully loaded and you get the voice saying "VoxATC 2.71." If you are still having difficulty after doing all of the above procedure correctly then there may be a conflict with one of the modules within your system. Are you using the latest FSUIPC? Make sure you are keeping [email protected] aware of your problem, you might want to include a list of all the files within your modules folder.I hope that you get it sorted out soon.Zane
