VOX ATC and FS Auto Start

Featured Replies

Has anybody had this problem?I have been using VOX for well over a year now, with almost no problems. Recently I have been using FS Auto Start, a piece of software that I am sure you are all aware, allows the user to shut down background services etc, to give FS more cpu power, thus increasing framerates. Since using the software and returning to use VOX, I have noticed that VOX speaks very, very, very slowly, sometimes leaving 6 second between words. When pressng alt and the menu bar appears at the top, the voices speed up to normal, but of course you can't use the sim only the menue bar.I then tried it without FS Auto Start and it worked fine, but of course leaving a lot of none required programs running in the back ground using cpu power.Any suggestion?

It is possible you are shutting down one of the background programs that the SAPI 5 system uses. You might try shutting down only half the programs with FSAutostart and by working back and forth between which programs are shut down find out which one is critical. My latest computer is running so well (and I didn't install Norton on it) that I haven't needed to use FSAutostart although I have used it in the past for my older computer.
