Flight Plan

Featured Replies

I'm trying to use the sid star set up. The problem I'm having is with loading the flight file. Just about all my flights are .pln files and VOXATC only lets you choose .flt files. Am I missing something here, Because when I use a FSNav and make a flight and save it to FS9 it saves it as a .pln file. I guess what I'm asking, VOXATC only lets you use Sids and Stars if you have made your flight plan with the FS9 flight planner (.FLT)? Did I make sense? Bob

Hi Bob,VoxATC works off the saved flight situations which will have a flightplan attached to them. Hence the difference you are seeing with *.pln vs *.flt files. You need to setup the aircraft you want to fly with, the flightplan you want to use and date with time and save that as a situation. Otherwise VoxATC would not know which aircraft you were using for formulating the ATC interaction. From that saved situation you can use the SID/STAR wizard and enter the specific information regarding which beginning and ending waypoint and altitudes.Regarding using FSNAV to build your flightplans and then use them with VoxATC you might find this an interesting read: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=455&mode=full

Thanks Zane for your reply. After reading the help files a little more (lol). I did figure it out. When I get a little more time ,going to mess with the voice training to get it working smooth. Thanks again, Bob
