The anticipated release date is actually only 4 - 5 months away, not 10 as you say. Given this relatively short period of time, the sim would actually be substantially complete already. I'm not sure why you say it is going to look a whole lot better, as most people, including myself, consider it to look darn good as it is. Certainly there may be a few polishing touches here and there, but if beta testing doesn't start happening very soon (although I expect it probably already has started to happen), then there will be insufficent time to debug and optimise the product. We most humbly apologise for generating any excitement regarding the next release of FS, so in view of your post we will all try to keep a very stiff upper lip about it, so as to not offend you :-roll

FS2002 did not come out till october 2002! Delayed from september to october due to the 11th.I would expect similar for 2004You can hardly trust slated release dates for games. There are almost always delays in getting a game out. Problems arrise that need fixing, devs want to add certain features its missing..I can pretty much say that its not going to be out when they say it is.

The next FS version is planned for release in JULY. Your expectation is clouded by two things:1: Past practices2: Failure to read the preview on the front page3: Failure to understand the market into which it is releasedSorry, THREE thingsThink about it. FSCOF celebrates the Century of (Powered) Flight, it makes no sense for it to be released right at the end of the period, does it? Especially as November/December will be the time that celebrations focus on Kitty Hawk as the actual date of First Flight approaches. MS would be making a grave marketing error to release at that time in order to meet your expectations. ChasW

"(...) FS2002 did not come out till october 2002! (...)"Not where I live (The Netherlands). We could (and I did) buy it nearly a year earlier: november 2001. Jaap Verduijn.

What you must understand is that many people are excited about the upcoming release, that is why there are topics about it.

>Please stop with the fs2004..i agree, it was not a good idea to say "we are looking in the avsim forums" :-)well i have started a FS2004 thread yesterday too, but that was not a "wishlist", it was a question about the preview from the main page ;-)Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly http://www.yabbas.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/icon142.gif http://www.yabbas.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/schild01.gif http://www.againsttcpa.com/images/AgainstT...Log01Medium.gif
