March 29, 200719 yr I've added the CIVA INS to my DC-10-30F. What do I need to do to get the Autopilot to follow the flight plan? When I toggle the RDO/INS switch to INS nothing happens. Thanks in advance for your help.Pete in KORD
March 30, 200719 yr Hello Pete, it has been such a long time since I used the excellent Civa INS I really had to jog my memory! The RDO/INS switch only applies to the Aerosim INS ( I have not tried it but I am pretty sure)If I remember rightly the Civa INS has it's own switches (the bit with three or two toggle switches pending on a three or two INS config)Your autopilot and heading hold should be activated...then when you toggle one of you INS switches the Civa INS will then control the heading hold. :) regardsEdaka Capt.
