Help Please

I want to know if any one else has had this problem and then hopefully someone can help me resolve the problem. This has happened on a number of aircraft so I have eliminated that as the cause. When flying in Europe from England east over the English Channel my frame rates drop to 1.0. This has happened while entering France and also into Belgium. I use WXre for weather and I have FSscene for Europe installed. I have flown a few times in Europe before but not as much as I have been lately. It did happen once comeing west once but for only a few minutes. My last flight it was happening so often that I stoped my flight. One of the ways to cure it but only for a few minutes was to open the menu's (no particular one) and it would go back to 19 or so and then back to 1.0. I hope someone can help me with this annoying problem.Thanks Andrew
