Speed brakes using hardware controls in V1.2

Recommended Posts

An errata from the readme file...to use the speed brakes with a hardware controller (i.e. PFC, CH levers) you need to assign the lever to PROP 1 rather than PROP 2 as the readme states. You can make that assignment in the driver, in the FS control assignments dialogue, or in FSUIPC, just so long as the lever is assigned to PROP 1 instead of spoilers/speed brakes.Sorry for the typo.Bob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

Dear Bob,according to your advice in the documents, i assigned the "Spoiler ARM" trough FSUIPC to a button. The green light is coming up, but the spoiler lever does not move to the correct position. same with right click to the various click spots. on touch down, the spoilers will extend and proceed normal operations, but i can not retract them.as well i assigned the inflight spoilers to an axis of my stick (assigned to the precision slider of my saitek x-52).if i assigned the spoilers to "PITCH PROP1", the lever on the throttle quadrant moves, but not the spoilers. if i assigned this function to "PITCH PROP2", the lever does not move, but the spoilers.one more issue: if i move the spoilers during outside view, the spoilers don't move. they will only move, if i change my view to "cockpit". when i go back to outside view, the spoilers are extended (or retracted, up to the setting on the stick). there is only to possibilities for the spoilers: full out or full in.what did i wrong? as an additional info: the throttle quadrant is an undocked window. but the same malfunction happens also if i have a docked window for the throttles.hope you understand even if my english is rare... and hope you can help me, because this is my best plane!(One not important thing: i fly the DELTA new color's. could you have the american flag besides the registration number changed to the correct way it should be?)best regardsDaniel

Sounds like you may still have the slider assigned to spoiler axis, within FS perhaps. It's possible, depending on drivers and other factors, to have multiple assignments of axes. My recommendation is to let FSUIPC control your axes (for all aircraft in fact), and make sure the spoiler axis is not assigned in the FS menu. The spoiler deployment while in external view is a known issue, and I have no idea yet how to fix it.Regarding the Delta paint...you'll need to get with the painter on that one, or perhaps touch it up yourself.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile
