V1.2 Reality XP Warning

Featured Replies

I've just done a straightforward install of V1.2 over V1.1. Now, when FS9 is loading I get a pop-up box that reads:Reality XP Warning: Reality XP Service Module not found. If I try to load any Tinmouse aircraft, FS9 freezes - although other aircraft will load OK.I do not have and have never had Reality XP. I deleted all the Tinmouse panel and aircraft folders, re-downloaded the panel and the a/c models and did a clean install of V1.2. The warning box is still there. Any suggestions as to how I can disable it?Ian

In the aircraftfsfsconvpanel.cfg file in section "Window07" place two slashes in front of this line:gauge07=RealityXP_WX500!RDR, 319, 111, 354, 266Odd that you would get this error if none of the RXP executables was loaded on your PC, as I'm fairly sure that message comes from the gauge itself when it can't find the RXP service DLL.OTOH, the RXP gauges are included as part of some commercial panels, like the Dreamfleet A36 & 727 I believe, so you may have some RXP gauges you weren't aware of on your PC.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

Thank you for the prompt advice, Bob. You were correct. There were two reality XP gauges lurking in the Gauges folder from who-knows-where. I adjusted the panel.cfg as you advised and also found a couple of other lines that I needed to similarly adjust to the correct INS and RXP configuration.FS now loads cleanly, as does the Tinmouse aircraft. My next challenge is to join the other freshmen and enrol in the FSUIPC academy:-zhelp Thanks againRegardsIan
