Confused about models

Recommended Posts

Guest fscool

Hi everyone. First let me say that this plane is great! It is pretty much the only aircraft that I am flying right now.I have one question though. Do any of the models come with Wing Views? I realize that I probably cannot see the wings from inside the cockpit but I do like to use some 3rd party utilities to get wing views from time to time. Right now, everything is completely empty behind the cockpoint (there is nothing there at all) and I seem to remember both the Kittyhawk and the other model originally having wingviews.I have searched this forum and cannot really find a clear answer so I would appreciate anybody's help. Thanks!

Wing views are not included as part of the TinMouse II. I have seen a post here or there that alludes to people using Walk and Follow or maybe ActiveCamera to do essentially the same thing.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

Thanks Bob! I appreciate the fast reply. But, are the wings actually modelled so that you can even use Walk and Follow or Active Camera? Those are the utilities that I am using and when I use them there are no wings or anything modelled back there.

I'm guessing they are, as I have seen screenshots of a "wing view" taken from the TM II...I'm fairly certain the one I remember was done with Walk and Follow.I have no idea how it was done...as a pilot I'm generally uninterested in the viewpoint as seen by the self-loading baggage that sits in back. :-) If I were to desire simulating the passenger experience I would just go outside and sit in the back seat of my wife's Toyota Yaris subcompact for a few hours with the vacuum cleaner running in the front seat and have her serve me a warm coke and a small bag of pretzels while left to read the 2-month old magazine left in the seat pocket with a barf bag stuck to it with sombody else's old chewing gum...Pilots look out the front windows!CheersBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

Thanks! Yeah, I agree about which direction Pilots should be looking. I just like to take a quick look sometimes to make sure I have 2 engines and 2 wings back there.....you never know! :)I just figured it out. The Kittyhawk model does not have wing views while the FFX model does. That explains it!Thanks for all of the reponses, I really appreciate it.And once again, a brilliant job with this aircraft and panel.
