How to make missions

Featured Replies

Can anyone please tell me what I need to make my own missions I installed SDK from disk 1 but now what? how do you start SDK I found it in the path C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator X SDK but can't find how to start it

Make sure you update your SDK to the correct SP. If your using SP1, there is an upgrade. If you have Acceleration, you will find the SDK upgrade on the disk. If you have just SP2, you will also find the SDK upgrade on the download site.Look in the SDK directory for the documentation file. If you have the latest version it will be called fskskd.chm. Open it and look under Mission Creation Kit. It will tell how to set it up.I am sure you will have many questions. Check out FSXmission.com, there are several people on the message boards that can help. Another good resource is a video that will show you how to set up the mission SDK and how to make a mission:http://fsxmission.com/live/modules.php?name=LearningCenterGunner

I installed sdk from the acceleration disk but can not find out how to make it work. I even looked on fskskd.chm and FSXmission.com it said to look for dll.xml file in C:UsersAppDataRoamingMicrosoftFSX I looked in C:Users my username for AppData but can not find it I even tried to make a new folder and name it AppData but it said this destination already contains a folder named appdata so dont know what to do next why can't you just load the SDK and it works?

Go into your Folder Options and look at the view tab. Make sure you have hidden files and folders shown. While your there, make sure you un-check Hide extensions of known file types. If you have XP, you will find your folder options in the Control Panel. I am sure Vista is similar.Gunner
