Importing FSX aircraft in FS9 - Possible?

Featured Replies

After a day with FSX, I'm now back with FS9, what a ride. :-rollI was wondering what would happen if I were to take say the default Airbus from FSX and copy it over to FS9's aircraft folder?Would it work? Minus some FSX features, of course. Has anyone tried yet?

I tried it with the beaver in the demo. It doesn't work there is a difference in format. However you can get a nice free IFDG A321 from the library. http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=...IFDG&CatID=rootThey look very good. Couple it with a freeware panel like that of Ken Mitchellhttp://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=...hell&CatID=root And you have all you need.If you want a beter panel that also has a working FMS you can buy the PSS A320 basepack and merge their panel with the IFDG modelhttp://www.phoenix-simulation.co.uk/defaul...rbus+Pro+SeriesThe IFDG model with the PSS panel is widely regarded as the best option for Airbus drivers in FS9.

Yeah, tried with the bus and it didn't work either. What you're linking to looks interesting, you wouldn't happen to know if that model has a VC by any chance?

Mike...

The IFDG models don't have a VC. The payware PSS model has a VC but it's fs2002 standard non-clickable so I don't even consider it to be a VC.

Yeah, me neither. Oh well, guess the Boeings will have to do. Thanks.;)
