You could just do CTRL + PRINT SCREEN on your key board and paste it in Windows Paint which you can find under your XP accessories

without ctrl. only press print screen in ANY window and paste then in paint.

ALT + 'Print Screen' will only grab the active window ( useful when you run dual-monitor setups or non-maximized window mode ).
