Change Weather through keystroke?

Featured Replies

Hello friendsIs it possible to change Fs weather by using key commands on keyboard and nbot through FS menu? For example when you press "1" the weather is set to Fair, when you press "2" it become rainy and so on...Is it possible?RegardTouradg

TouradgI suspect you are asking because you want to encounter different weather on you flight. You can set this in your default weather window. As an example, this enables you to take off in fair weather and encounter rain, or anything else, while enroute and land again in fair weather if you like.1. set your general weather area at your departure airport on your weather map, hit ok.2. If using a flight plan there will be a purple line for your route on the map.3. Select the weather you want to encounter along the route (right side of map).4. select specific weather station and hit "choose station" it will open a new map window.5. place mouse cursor in the new map window and click and hold down right button while moving the mouse around. You can draw a dashed rectangle around your course line where you want to encounter different weather. Hit ok.6. take off and you will encounter the different weather that you set. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/159184.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/159185.jpg

Hello daryllThank you for reply. No. I already know that. The reason is that for example you simply assign 10 different weathers to 10 keys and during the flight you press one of them and it brings you the preset weather. Something like weather themes but through keyboard and not menus!RegardTouradg

Hi Jimwhat do you think about an application that writes weather data through FSUIPC to FS and that app itself monitor the keyboard?I think it should be possible using VB.NET and FSUIPC SDK.RegardTouradg

Hi,The data hooks would need to be present in FS. Then FSUIPC would need to be able to access the hooks. Then the key options would need to be programmed into FSUIPC. That would be to access internal FS weather themes. For an external program you would need the base program that would send weather data based on a keystroke to FSUIPC. This is possible.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
