Hi fellow simmers,This has probably been asked before, but I've always wondered if the AI aircraft follow GPS direct routing or if they fly the airways. John Maane

From reading the traffic SDK it seems theyre only able to do direct to routing.

Thanks for the reply Randy. I thought so too , but just wasn't sure. It does explain why I see more oncoming traffic when flying GPS direct than when I fly on the airways.John Maane

IIRC the AI fly great circle routes between airports, but when they get "in range" (IIRC 80-100 nm) they are funneled into "entry points" based on incoming direction and from there routed to the duty runway, depending on visibility (<3 nm and they only take ILS route).scott s..
