J.C.Short answer, No. It all depends on whether they have been accurately placed (ie. at the correct glide path intercept point on the runway, about 1000 ft from the threshold). Some airports have then placed in about the right place and others are way out (in my experience when they are poorly placed they tend to be too close to the threshold rather than vice versa).Use with caution!Kevin in CYOW.
