Feelthere Ejets and DME Arcs
It would seem so I guess. I'm hoping that there is a solution to get the FMS to perform as advertised though. Other than this snafu, everything else works like a dream, so if I can find a solution to this issue, it would be great, since presently, I do it the old fashioned way, which is not how a modern FMS equipped aircraft is designed to work, all things considered. Feelthere Ejets and DME Arcs
Hi Duran, Most of the procedures that I fly which include DME arcs already have quite a few waypoints between the entry and exit points, so not sure if adding additional waypoints will make a difference. Additionally, an arc is not even displayed on the MFD; the waypoints of the arc are displayed point to point in a straight line. J.C.

Feelthere Ejets and DME Arcs
Hi DJ Below is an excerpt as advertised for the features of the Ejets on their page: FMS Features (Flight Management System) Ultra realistic and very complete dual FMS with Vertical Glide Path Mode and Coupled LNAV / VNAV Learn function : the FMS learns your flying habits for more accurate flight predictions Five different patterns simulated including HOLD, PROCEDURE TURN,... SID/STAR with DME arc,... Based on the above, I'd like to believe that DME arcs are simulated,no? Thanks, J.C.

Feelthere Ejets and DME Arcs
Hi all, I've been using the Feelthere Ejet series for awhile now, and for the most part, things work as advertised. I do have one issue, though, and that is getting the aircraft to fly a star/approach with a DME arc. I've ensured that the FMS is set up correctly with the published star/approach that includes a DME arc (quite common in the Caribbean where I do most of my flights) and I'm pretty sure that it's not a programming issue. For the record, every other procedure that I program into the Feelthere FMS works without a hitch (including Rnav procedures). In all instances where I've programmed a procedure with a DME arc, I've had to follow the arc manually in "heading" mode since LNAV won't follow the procedure, even though the FMS is set up correctly. I'm using the ejet version 2, FS9.1, and windows 7 64-bit. I've checked and doubled checked the manual to make sure I'm not missing anything, I've asked for help on their support forum awhile back, but didn't really get a satisfactory answer or suggestion for a fix. Any suggestions for this issue will be greatly appreciated, since I'd like to believe that LNAV should be able to follow a DME arc once entered correctly into the FMS as a part of a procedure. Thanks in advance, J.C.

Recommended 3D settings for EVGA nvidia Geforce GTX 750Ti
Hi all, This is my first purchase and install of the Nvidia brand of video cards (Radeon/AMD since starting the hobby 13 years ago). Installed the above card and so far, performance-wise the card is pretty fast and stable (frames locked at 45 and holds steady for the most part). However, I've tried a few different settings for antialiasing, etc, but can't seem to correct what seems to be an excessive amount of shimmering around the airport scenery and ai planes (using FS9.1 by the way). The ground textures and autogen seem to be ok. I'm using the stock Nvidia Control Panel to make my adjustments (antialiasing is turned off in the sim). My system specs are: Alienware Aurora R2, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (service pack 1), Intel i5 CPU 760 @2.8 gHz, 8gb Ram, and using FS9.1. Are there preferred settings that can maybe improve the amount of shimmering in the airport scenery (the latest video card drivers are installed). Thanks in advance for any assistance. J.C.

Feelthere EjetV2 E190 US Airways repaint (FS9)
Hello, Can you email me a copy of that texture please ([email protected]). I purchased Version 2 a few weeks back from simmarket (also downloaded the available repaints from FeelThere Website), but no US Airways repaint. Thanks J.C.

Feelthere EjetV2 E190 US Airways repaint (FS9)
Hello, I've searched the library looking for the above-captioned repaint but to no avail. The Mcphat repaints on the feelThere website don't have the US Airways E190 livery either. Does anyone know where I can find a repaint, or if someone is willing to share one that they repainted, please let me know. Thanks. J.C.

Need Help with Majestic Dash8 Q300 cg position (FS9)
Hello, I've had this bird for a few years, and not flown it for awhile. Decided to take it for a quick spin, and adjusted the load with paxloader utility before starting flight sim. The cg with the paxloader facility was dead center, but after starting flight sim and clicking on fuel and payload to adjust the fuel, I noticed that the cg position was way north of center (outside the limits). Adjusted the fuel and payload within flight sim, but the cg indicator seems to be stuck (not moving with any variations with the loading). Tried all sorts of loading configurations, but no luck. Can anyone shed any ideas regarding fixing the cg position, maybe somewhere in the aircraft cfg file perhaps. Obviously, the aircraft won't fly properly with the cg out of limits, so any help would be appreciated. J.C.

AI Rolling Takeoffs in FS9..is it possible?
Hi all, Just wondering if the above is achievable, and if so, how? This would be another great way to reduce the pile-ups, especially at busy airports. I already use AI Smooth and AI Separator, which have greatly reduced the go-arounds. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards, J.C.

Utility for overlaying AI parking in afcad (fs9)
Thanks Joe, I'll continue using my original afcad for now, unless someone can suggest a magic wand of sorts that would allow me to achieve my objective. J.C.

Utility for overlaying AI parking in afcad (fs9)
Hello, I recently updated my LatinVFR KMIA scenery to version to version2. Here's my dilemna: I spent countless hours tweaking my parking in the original version to make it as realistic as possible (gate sizes, airline and cargo assignments, etc) based on parking info obtained from various sources on the web (mainly the official MIA website). The folks at LatinVFR have made a brand new afcad for version2; however, I'm still using my original afcad from version 1 with no immediately apparent issues. I would like to use the new afcad, though, (just in case I'm missing out on a potential performance increase) but I don't want to go through the headache of spending countless hours tweaking the aircraft parking all over again. Is there any utility that allows overlaying the aircraft parking only while leaving all the other parameters of the afcad file intact, e.g. taxi routes, frequencies, crossing runways, etc. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Default taxi signs showing up in ImagineSim KCLT
Hello, Just purchased and installed ImagineSim's KCLT. Downloaded and installed the updated afcad also. However, I noticed that the default taxisigns and a few of the default buildings are showing up. I checked and there doesn't seem to be any duplicate afcads. Any idea of the source of this problem? Thanks for any assistance. J.C. (MYNN)

Better AFCAD for ImagineSim KATL?
Hello all, Just purchased the updated KATL from ImagineSIm, and so far, I'm impressed with the detail. However, the supplied afcad was apparently designed to make space for the optional parked aircraft since a lot of the gates are unaccounted for (meaning a lot of the aircraft park in spare cargo spots, which is a bit undesirable from a realistic perspective). I'm also noticing that the aircraft departing east from 8R and 9L seem to be stuck at the hold short point, meaning that the hold-short node probably needs to be moved. Has anyone created an updated aircraft for this wonderful scenery that addressed these issues (and willing to share)? Thanks J.C.

Feelthere ERJ descent profile help needed
Hello all, Below is a post I made in the feelthere forum, but no luck with a reply as yet: "Just purchased the ERJ a few days ago and having a blast with it! I understand that the ERJ is not VNAV capable, but it's my understanding that you can enter crossing restrictions in the FMS for guidance purposes only (correct me if I'm wrong). Exactly how is this accomplished. I did a flight from KMIA to MYNN and using a routing of SKIPS1.SKIPS BR53V RAJAY, it's customary in real life to get a crossing restriction at RAJAY for 11000/250 knots. How would I go about setting this up in the FMS, and what sort of guidance will the FMS and MFD provide? It also appears that the calculated AP (approach) speeds are a bit on the high side. I'm not a real-life ERJ driver, but are these speeds spot on? Thanks, and looking forward to your reply." So far, I've figured out how to program the required crossing restriction into the FMS, and, just like the manual says, a TOD shows up on the MFD, as well as the indicators on the PFD. What is the best method once the TOD point has been reached in order to safely enable you to reach your crossing restriction? Is it better to use VS mode on the FGC and idle thrust? I tried using FLC, but even at idle thrust, since it only descends at 2000 fpm above 10000 ft, I seem to miss my restriction all the time. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. J.C.

Adding wing views to the Rick Piper HS.748
Season's greetings to one and all, Is there any way to add wing views to the HS.748 in either 2d or virtual cockpit mode? If anyone has done this and wants to share their files, I'd appreciate it very much. J.C.

USB to serial adaptor random crashes help
TopGun replied to TopGun's topic in Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etcHi again; Ordered and received a new USB to serial adaptor (here's the link for anyone who's interested - http://www.usconverters.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67&products_id=290) So far, so good (meaning no crashes or weird behavior) after 2 weeks of continuous flying. Any way to reboot drivers without rebooting system (windows7)
Hello, Is there any way to restart or reboot certain drivers without actually rebooting windows. For example, let's say FS9 is running and there's a windows crash, but FS9 still continues to function, can I reset that particular driver by going into command prompt somehow. I'm having this problem with my PL 2303 USB to serial adaptor drivers, and it seems to me that if I can force a reboot of the driver without having to reboot windows, it's something I can live with until I can see my way clear to getting some new PFC controls. Thanks for any help. J.C.

USB to serial adaptor random crashes help
Hello, I'm using a GoldX GXMU - 1201 serial to USB adapter (latest drivers installed) to power my PFC throttle quadrant setup (originally supplied with serial connectors hence the need for the USB to serial adapter). When I was using windows XP Pro, I had no issues whatsoever with the adapter. However, when I upgraded my PC about a year and a half ago (currently an alienware Aurora R2 with windows 7 home premium 64 bit installed), I've experienced random crashes while using FS9 that I've narrowed down to the USB to serial adapter ( Is there any way to establish a hot key of sorts that would reset the prolific drivers for the USB to serial adapter? I plan to upgrade my PFC equipment late on in the year, but in the meantime, if I can find a temporary workaround to this vexing problem, I'd be happy till then. I've been told that windows 7 is very picky when it comes to USB to serial adapters, which I tend to believe since I've not had this issue with windows XP. If someone can offer a solution to this issue, I'd be very grateful. Thanks in advance. For further reference, the following comes up in the event log at the time of each crash: The description for Event ID 54 from source Ser2pl cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. J.C. (MYNN)

Strange behavior with TFS Airbus A330 and A340 Models
Yes, I've noticed it regardless of which aircraft I'm using...I've even swapped those models with different models, e.g. AI Aardvark in the relevant flight plans, and this doesn't happen, so I've pretty much narrowed it down to the TFS Airbus models. I've checked to make sure that I'm using the correct model too, just can't figure out why it's particular to the fruit stand models. J.C.

Strange behavior with TFS Airbus A330 and A340 Models
Good Morning, Was doing some AI spotting last night and I noticed something strange with the above models. When looking from my aircraft's 2d cockpit or even looking at them from spot view, portions of the aircraft model stand upright while the remainder of the aircraft stays normal. It only happens for a few seconds at times, and it happens randomly. It's kind of weird looking at the aircraft taxiing with such a funny configuration. Like I said, it only happens randomly, and only with these particular models. I noticed this at KMIA and KMCO. Is there something in the air file or aircraft cfg files that could cause such a strange behavior with these particular models, or is this a known issue with TFS Airbus models? Thanks for any help J.C. (MYNN)

KPBI for FS9
I have the FRF-KPBIv2 scenery installed, but it would be real nice to have a nice Palm Beach Int' Airport of the quality of FlyTampa or FSDreamteam standards. Is there any KPBI in the works by any of the big time developers? I think it would be nice to finally have KPBI properly represented (esp now that we have an updated KMIA and FSDreamteam's KFLL). AI disappearing after receiving IFR clearance from ATC
I closed rw12 for departures and it seemed to have solved the issue (aircraft at F and G terminals are now being directed to rw9). I guess there's some issue with the AFCAD regarding rw12. Thanks, will do some further investigations. J.C.
