OK, who moved the tower ??

Recommended Posts

My home AP is KPHL and for some time ( maybe forever ) when I switch to tower view all I sometimes see is the back of a building. When I look at the map view in FS2002 the tower ( I am assuming it is the red square ) is way out of place compared to the real thing. If I use FSNav and move the tower view to the south side of the field near the UPS facility where it really is, all is fine ( I can see clearly now ), sing if you wish !!. I have no KPHL add-ons and am curious if anyone knows how to relocate the tower to its correct position. TIAJimBob

You could try moving it with AFCAD. Start fs2002, slew to the location of the tower and jot down the LAT/LONG. If it is in the correct location in the scenery, then also slew up to the height of the cab and note the altitude.Start AFCAD, load your airport, Insert, Control Tower, and follow the instructions. Export your AFCAD file, then Save. It will modify the AFDFile that contains your airport.
