PC switches off when in FS9 **HELP**

Featured Replies

Hi there, for the last week my pc switches off completely whilst I am in FS9, about 5-10 mins into playing. It doesn't happen any other time, only when I am in FS9, has anyone else had this or can anyone suggest anything?Kind RegardsGavin Moss

Sounds like a heat or memory issue, especially since it happens about 5-10 minutes into the game. To test out the heat issue, try removing the computer cover and blowing a table fan at the interior while the sim is running--see if that increases the longevity of the MSFS session. -John

Some mobo's have an auto shut down temp to protect the cpu, so you may be hitting that. Does the pc restart after or just shut off, if it restarts it sounds like a common instability problem.
