  1. Good morning everyone, I wanted to know if anyone could help me or tell me how to change the beacon fx file for the Project Airbus A380 two top beacons which uses the FS9 beacon fx? I would like to make them flash in unison (so they're sync together) as in reallife but have noticed that on my model the two red top beacons flash independently, one then theother? I have been messing around with the fx files but cannot seem to get it right. Any help would be much appreciated Kind Regards Gavin Moss

  3. Good afternoon everyone, I was wondering, does anyone know the strobe fx rate setting or how to make the A380 tail strobe flash in time with the wing strobes? I find the default flashes reallyquickly. I have tried changing the strobe fx file rate but can't seem to get it quite right. Look forward to any help. Kind Regards Gavin Moss
  4. Good evening everyone, I'm looking to see if anyone can help me please. I have Project Airbus A380 in FS9 and noticed that the gear compression is not as compressed as in real life? I have tried to change the contact points and the static compression part in the contact points, but unlike any other aircraft I have done this too, nothing changes and the compression stays the same? I am not sure how I can change it if this method does not work? I'm not sure how I can add the screenshots that I have onto here? I look forward to any reply Kind regards Gavin Moss

Good evening, I'm currently slowly moving over from FS9 to FSX (with a few problems on the way lol) and have recently bought Ultimate Traffic 2 for FSX to use until I get my AIG flightplans all updated and installed. Whilst using UT2, I have started to install some of the latest AIG flightpans into FSX and so have unticked those airlines in UT2 so I don't have duplicates. Today I installed AIG British Airways Winter 2015/2016 flighplans and the repaints using AIFP2, and therefore unticked BA in UT2. When I went into FSX and loaded up Heathrow to check the repaints were all ok, I noticed that there were no BA aircraft anywhere? I've checked the World/Scenery folder and the AIG traffic bgl for BA is there? I'm not quite sure why the BA traffic are not displaying but I have a suspicion that it is something to do with Ultimate Traffic 2? Has anyone else had this same kind of problem?   6. Good afternoon, I'm installing some AI flightplans for FSX and wondered if I can use my DJC A319 from FS2004 in FSX or is there a different model basepack that I need to use? It's because I'm installing British Airways and one of the A319's is in the Dove livery which I cannot find for the FAIB model. I look forward to any help. Kind regards Gavin Moss
  7. Good afternoon, I'm in the process of changing everything over to FSX. I'm trying to install the Project Airbus A319, A319 and A320 as instructed by Project Airbus. I have all the model updates but have a problem with the strobes and nav lights, they do not appear at all? I looked at the aircraft config file and noticed under the lights section it has these entries: [Lights] light.0=3, -57.70, 0.00, 4.70, fx_navwhi320pa , light.1=2, -57.75, 0.00, 4.70, fx_strobe2320pa , light.2=1, 6.8, 0.00, -5.80, fx_beacon320pa , light.3=1, 3.83, 0.00, 8.47, fx_beacon320pa , light.4=4, 20.11, 0.00, 4.00, fx_vclight , light.5=5, 12.570000, -10.48, -5.81, fx_PAland , light.6=5, 12.570000, 10.48, -5.81, fx_PAland , I do not have these FX files and they are not in the effects folder of the FSX model update download folder either so how can I get them if anyone knows?   9. Hi, Thanks for having a look, I know what you mean lol. Though in FS9 I changed the static compression and it looked and worked fine but in FSX it doesn't? I tried the same with one of my SSP 767-300ER and in FSX it was fine, the compressed static values stayed the same as in FS9 so it's only a problem with the TDS 787 that I have and can't figure out why it won't change? Hiroshi who modelled the TDS 787 is having a look now I think. Gav

  11. Hi there Charliearon, I redownloaded the tds 787 base pack and used the updated tds model files for fsx. Everytime I've changed the contact points in FS9 they worked, and earlier I coped one of my Project Airbus A320 from FS9 to FSX and the contact points stayed the same, its only the tds 787 so far that I cannot change in FSX even though I could in FS9. I'm completely stumped by it Kind regards Gavin Moss
  12. Good evening, I have recently starting changing over to FSX and have come across a problem. I have TDS 787 in FS9 and changed the contact points to lower the gear compression on the main landing gear which worked fine. In FSX for some reason this doesn't work and I'm not sure why? No matter what the value I change it to, the gear height remains the same and it doesn't compress like it did in FS9? I've tried the TDS support page on Facebook but not really got anywhere so far. Is there something in FSX that I am probably unaware of as I'm new to FSX If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. I look forward to any replies. Kind Regards Gavin Moss

  16. Hi Ed, Thanks for that, I have edited the FX_strobeh with all of that but not sure which lines to take out on the aircraft.cfg in the lights section. I'll have a play around as don't mind putting the work into it lol Kind regards Gav

  18. Hi everyone, Thanks for the replies and congratulations to Ed on the baby lol. I have checked and there is no delay in the two emitter entries. What is confusing me is in the FX file how do I know which is the port entry and the starboard entry? Also if I want to have the wing strobes and the tail strobe all flash at the same time, do I need to have 3 emitter entries in the FX file rather than just the two entries? Good afternoon, I am trying to change the strobe effects on my Fifity North 737's so that the wing strobes and tail strobe all flash at the same time as I've seen some on YouTube but cannot figure out the correct FX settings? Can anyone help me with the correct settings in the strobeh FX file in the Effects folder please? I've managed to slow the rate down but when I do this the port side and tail strobe flash at the same time but then the starboard side will flash on its own a few seconds after and not in unison.   20. Good afternoon, I am trying to take out a few lit cabin windows on a project airbus aircraft on the L.bmp texture that appear at night where there are no windows. I have DXTBmp and imagetool and a paint programme to do this and have been playing around with it a bit but keep having a problem that the cabin lights on the part of the fuselage I've edited only come on with the landing light switch. I edited the texture l.bmp to black out the windows, but then the alpha channel shows as white which I know connects the cabin lights to the landing lights so I created a new black alpha channel but still having the same problem and a bit confused now on how to change it so the cabin lights are on all the time at night with being connected to the landing lights. I managed to do it with a SkySpirit 777 without any problems but that must be a different format on how that works. I'm not a painter and don't have any experience really so looking for any help from anyone as the alpha channel thing confuses me a bit.   22. Hi all, Correct mebull. Someone gave me a link to another post about a problem with WOAI American Airlines Summer 2013 flightplans. I checked this post, and it turned out this was also the problem I was having. In the WOAI American Airlines Summer 2013 flighplan, the TFS 777-200RR textures are set as DXT5, I simply changed them to DXT3 and voila, no more problems. Wish I had known this sooner as it took me days wondering what the problem was and me uninstalling and reinstalling FS9 which I didn't need to do. I hope that this solution also works for everyone else. Kind Regards Gavin Moss
  23. Hiya EZY433, Thanks for the suggestion. That was indeed the problem. The WOAI American 777-200RR textures were DXT5 so all I did was change them to DXT3. Amazing how such one small thing can cause so many problems, especially if, like me, I didn't know that was the problem lol At least my FS9 is all working properly again now. Thanks again Gavin Moss
  24. Good evenig, I am still having problems with my Heathrow scenery. Since last week half the AI aircaft are blank textures and I don't know why? I haven't added any other traffic files for few weeks and can't figure it out. I really need some help. I uninstalled the whole of FS9 and reinstalled making sure the FS9.1 update was installed but still have the same problem. Seems to be a texture problem.
