December 21, 200619 yr When I first became a Flight Simmer about 6 months ago my very first non default/downloaded aircraft was this excellent Hawker Hurricane from the Avsim Library. I treasured that plane like no other, printed the excellent manual in colour and think I even memorized it. Now that I have the Real Air Spitfire I would love to get the Hurricane again. My former installation is gone now with my old computer and I can't find the file here anywhere in the Library despite many searches.Does anyone know if and where it can be found? I think it was even on the Library's "Hot Files" list for many months. Also as an aside has anyone ever seen a payware or freeware version of the prototype 60s US SAC bomber, the Valkrie (SP?)? I would like to have it if for no other reason than I think it was the world's largest ever piece of stainless steel.
December 21, 200619 yr It is still in the file area at Flight Sim dot com.Don't know why it isn't here any more. I have all the Hurricane models and they are excellently done by one of the best. When you find The Hurricane, you may also want to download his Stearman. A great bi-wing model for some very basic but fun flying.
December 21, 200619 yr Oh great Robert, thank you. Funny how your first real/non default plane is such a treasure. When I first fired that plane up I was totally gaga for a week. Having seen a quite a few aircraft add ons since then, and lots of payware that's inferior to the Hurricane, I have to say that's a real beauty as well as being properly documented. I think I might just go for the Stearman too. Thanks again.
December 21, 200619 yr Well they could be withdrawn from the libraries. I was looking for the Stearman the other day and I couldn't find it either on avsim.com or flightsim.com.But rest assured the Tin Opener and the Stearman can be found at Sim-Outhouse. Here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/index.php?lloc...ert%20SandersonAll the best,Rob
