February 25, 200719 yr Hi there, I am getting dark edges(linings) to all clouds and it looks very odd.Was hoping that someone out there may be able to shed some light on the reason why?I am using a Geforce 7600GT, have 2gig RAM and am running a dual -core processor. Thanks in advance.Richard Richard Binns MSFS 2020 & 2024- Asus ROG Strix Z390-E - Skylake i7 9700k - Asus Geforce RTX 4070 Super OC 12gb, 64gig G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 - Thermaltake Thor 850w Platinum PSU - Corsair H150i AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - H150i AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - Thermaltake V71 Case - Samsung SSD 850 EVO M.2 500GB - 2 x Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus V-Nand 1TB

February 26, 200719 yr Author When I use AS6 all but the clouds, except on the horizan, are great. If I do not use AS6 they all have a wretched gray lining. But I have not tried turning up the 3D clouds to 100%, I shall try that tonight. February 26, 200719 yr Author Yes I had 3D clouds set @ 60% so I made it 100% and bingo no more grey dark linings. Thank you so much.regards, Richard Richard Binns MSFS 2020 & 2024- Asus ROG Strix Z390-E - Skylake i7 9700k - Asus Geforce RTX 4070 Super OC 12gb, 64gig G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 - Thermaltake Thor 850w Platinum PSU - Corsair H150i AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - H150i AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - Thermaltake V71 Case - Samsung SSD 850 EVO M.2 500GB - 2 x Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus V-Nand 1TB
February 27, 200719 yr 100% 3D clouds does affect performance, but set to any other percentage just mixes the ugly 2D clouds with the 3D ones with undesired results.
February 27, 200719 yr Hi,I downloaded these textures to shrink the cloud size without affecting the visuals and they seem pretty good. Look for it inFS2004 Scenery: <>Many thanks to you , Bart!Andy.
