Piper PA-24 Comanche

Featured Replies

Hello, All,I have been spending the last few hours scouring the web for a decent payware quality Piper PA-24 Comanche to no avail. In my real world flight school I am preparing to enter my Commercial portion of training and wanted an aircraft in my sim that was as close to the aircraft I am training in as possible. At this point I would love a decent Commanche with a nice VC, but I am prepared to go with any Piper that is payware quality, has a decent VC and has retractable gear.Carenado has some sweet Pipers, but all of them are fixed gear only. Does anyone know of any retractable gear single prop Pipers out there that are Payware quality (Carenado level detail and realism)? Many thanks in advance for any leads.

Dreamfleet have a new Archer out that should be top of the line. I have there A36 Bonanza and just love it.

Aye I have their A36 and B58. SWEET aircrafts. I didn't know they were doing a Piper. Going to their site now . . . .

Just checked it out. I absolutely WILL be getting that Piper once it's released. However it is Fixed gear as well. And I know folks here will tell me to just use any retractable gear aircraft, but i am trying to stick as close to what i am using in the real world as possible, to include power, dynamics and complex operation. That Piper at Dreamfleet does look beautiful though. Anxious for that one -- fixed gear or not.Looks like I'll be using the A36 for now for practice.

Hi,Even though I am certainly not a GA guy, I really could go for a single engine Piper Comanche. That bird brings back so many memories from the early 60

If Dreamfleet did such a Comanche I bet they'd make a killing onit. I know I can't be theonly one out there who is a GA fan looking for such a piper -- not just because of my flight school, but i think in all virtual fun it'd just be . . . well . . . FUN!!!

Yup I definitely like her. Now if Dreamfleet would just make the Comanche it'd be a dream come true . . . .

First, I'd have to locate a nice one, and I'd prefer a 260C (last of the breed). Right now, we have my Dakota and an Arrow IV turbo in the works. I also have a friend's '80 C210 Turbo that I fly available to me that I plan to photograph in about a month or so, and I was also recently discussing a Piper Seminole here, as that is not a far stretch from an Arrow IV.So many aircraft so little time!Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg

Aah... C'mon Lou, do a Comanche 400 for next Christmas ;). I'm sure Peter would do some very interesting stunts in that one!

I do photography as well, as getting good shots should be easy :-) And access to her is no problem, since I am doing my commercial rating in her. This is her:http://learntoflywith.us/index_files/Page1111.htmN5173P
