March 26, 200719 yr Can anyone give me an explanation of what this setting controls? TurbulenceScale=
March 26, 200719 yr It is basically the convective turbulence you experience in thunderstorms and other environments (passing through large clouds, clear air turbulence when entering and leaving a jet stream air mass at right angles) such as passing under CBs (those big, puffy clouds). I was experiencing too much and dropped from .5 to .3This is not to be confused with wake (vortex) turbulence, the churning air behind large aircraft that can cause twisting effects if you are too close in on the tail of a large one. Do not confuse this with thermals generated by soaring scenery and some weather programs.
March 26, 200719 yr Ahh, I have asv6.5 and I notice I am getting alot of turbulence at higher levels but not nearly enough in mountains or in clouds.
