Best nature addon?

Featured Replies

Whats the best addon for a good fligtsim nature experience? Im talking trees, rivers maybe flowers/flowerfields. It dosent matter whether its a general texture addon or a spesific place.-Kinetic

I don't ever remember ever seeing any flowers/flower beds in Flight Sim ( any of them) but with some of the scenery programs like Lago's Scenery Enhanser or Abacus EZ Scenery you might could add some of your own. Trees and rivers are every where. jerrycwo4

You could try Ultimate Terrain, this is available in three editions (US, Canada/Alaska, and Europe). It will give you accurate rivers and coastlines (as well as roads, railways and urban areas). You could try a texture replacement, such as Ground Environment Pro, which will give you new ground textures.Do a search in the file library here for "treegen" - this is a set of replacement autogen trees that are smaller than the oversized ones that are used by default, and instead of rendering single trees, you will get clumps of trees. Nowhere near as good as the autogen trees in FSX, but an improvement over default FS9.If you are interested in a single area, I would highly recomment you check out "Glacier Bay V2" in the library here. If you like the freeware Glacier Bay scenery you can purchase the payware "Misty Fjords" and "Tongass Fjords" from the same developers. This will give you a large continuous area of very high detail scenery in a very beautiful part of the world.
