July 7, 200718 yr When a pass 4,000 ft, my plane has contrails. AT 4,000FT! Thats a little weird. Anyone know how to fix this problem?-NickPS: I finally completed my first long distance trip in one sitting. (LAX-PHNL)
July 7, 200718 yr It's probably a problem with the "General Engine Data" entry in the aircraft.cfgOpen the aircraft.cfg file for the airplane you are describing and look for: max_contrail_temperature=X under "General Engine Data". The X value should be about minus 20ish. The colder temp entered, the higher the contrail generation altitude. "A good landing is one you can walk away from.
