Emergency Brake

Featured Replies

Hello. I was hoping someone would be able to answer a question for me.It seems that in some aircraft the emergency brake is not strong enough to keep the plane from moving. Even when the throttles are idle. Is it possible to adjust this somewhere? It's kind of a pain when you are parked and the plane keeps inching forward with the brake on.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

There can be issues with the aircraft engine settings. However in general the turboprop engine modeling has always had this issue. You need to cut the throttle, and bring the props rpm lever back as far as possible (CTRL=F1).I've found on some jets that is necessary also to control creep. I've even had to lean the mixture back on jets to almost cutoff position.Having all three on a yoke helps.

I'm talking about larger jets. In this particular case a POSKY 737.

Registered users of FSUIPC can fix this using the Options setting. (with thanks to Bill Leaming)
