August 24, 200718 yr Can anyone help me determine the source of this error message?I see it when loading an aircraft with a couple of addon panels. Note that is does not refer to a specific missing file nor is it the message you see if FSSound is not installed. The panels in question are recent uploads to the library and are apparently based on older sim versions but there are nosound files involved. I am guess that one or more of the gauges must be referencing a non-existant wav file - but that is only a guess.A screenshot of the error message is attached.Any thoughts?
August 24, 200718 yr Hi,It means that you are missing a sound file. Did you freshly install these panels or just copy them from FS04?Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
August 24, 200718 yr Hi,Maybe list the panels, if you can, and others who may use the same panels can chime in.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
August 24, 200718 yr Author The most recent one that is problematic for me is:ai_beechjet_400a.zip - from avsim.Another is a panel which can be used on the Citation II.It is available here:http://www.fsdownload.com/modules.php?name...04_Lear35_PanelBoth generate the same error message when loading the aircraft. When the panel is alaised to the default lear, there is no problem.
August 25, 200718 yr If there is no problem when aliased to the default Lear, the sound file (whatever it may be) probably does exist in the Lear 'sound' file. Try aliasing the other planes you use this panel with, to the Lear 'sound' file, and see if the trouble disappears. If it does, then you have narrowed the search.Cheers,Bob
