October 24, 200718 yr Hi all,Has anybody seen the ATC act very strange in the Montana or Wyoming areas? I had problems on a cross country heading into Casper KCPR. The ATC made me do a 180 then terminated my flightplan at about 50 NM from the airport. This happened twice. I gave up and flew it VFR with weather too. What in the world is going on? Had a similar problem going into Billings, but thought it was just a fluke. Upon leaving KCPR to Boulder, CO, all was normal.
October 24, 200718 yr Maybe they're having some staffing issues?Seriously, the ATC generally makes you turn around (180) when you miss a waypoint in your flight plan. Are you sure the plane you were flying was staying on course with the filed flight plan in the sim? If you fly past a waypoint by a few nautical miles too far, FS won't accept it. It has to be something like that. Do you file the flight plan using the default planner or some other method? Check your Map before leaving the flight to ensure you were on track?I know I've had a couple planes that don't like to stay on course for some reason with certain winds and I could easily miss this had I not payed close attention to the ND. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
