ATIS Frequency Question

Featured Replies

In FS9 it seems the lowest frequency you can dial in is 118.0 but airports like KJFK have ATIS frequencies in lower #'s like 115.4 or 117.XX. Any way to tune those in or do we just have to assign ficticious frequencies within the 118 to 135.0 range

If you notice, those frequencies between 108.00 and 117.95 are NAVAIDs (ILS and VOR) and the ATIS, AWOS, or other voice items are riding on the signal which genearlly carries only the Morse code ID. I don't believe that this feature is modeled in MSFS. You could use AFCAD to add ATIS to an airport but you'd have to use a frequency between 118.000 and 136.975 as far as I know.R-
