error reading file

Featured Replies

i'm trying to reinstall an aircraft that kept locking up on me thinking it was a bad download. after downloading it a few times this morning thinking one of them might be good, i still can't get it to run. when i click on the folder to extract/run it i keep getting: [error reading file]. not sure if this is on my end or another bad download. any ideas? william

Tell us what the exact filename is and where you downloaded it.One of us can then try to duplicate your problem and report back.

i downloaded the CLS DC10 from the flightsim pilot shop over at flightsim.com. the zip folder says: CLS-170- inside it says: CLS_DC10_v2 i double click on it then another folder pops out...click that and there's the [CLS_DC10_v2_base] exe. double click that and there's the: error reading file. that's all i'm getting. more than 5 downloads and have defragged, rebooted and everything else. thanks, william

the exe. says: CLS_DC10_v2_basedouble clicking that brings up the: error reading file william

I assume that is payware if you got it from the Pilot Shop.Your query should be directed to their support area.Try this link -http://www.fspilotshop.com/help.php#7

i was going to call them tomorrow but was hoping someone over here might know something. i'll try to download again late tonight and see if that helps. thanks man, william
