how do you decide what ramp or gate to use as a starting location for a flight? i can't tell if it will be near the runway i want or not. i've looked at airport charts and maps but they don't show the gate/rampnumbers. william

Well one way to check the locations of the gates and ramps in relation to the runway(s) would be to open the airport in question with Lee Swordy's AFCAD program. ( afcad221.zip ) here in the library.You would be able to see everything and print it out for reference.Hope that helps.
