hello!i hope this is the correct forum... anyways. i found the hover gauge from arne bartels (i think he is the coder) on some freeware helicopter but even after a throughout google search i wasnt able to find a webpage or anything with a documentation about this gauge. the only thing i have is a readme-file describing how to activate/deactivate the hover with a key, now i am trying to figure out how/if i can map the height selection to keys/buttons too. any help is appreciated!thanks in advance

This is not a direct answer but rather a suggestion......If you do a search in the Gauges area of the library, using the word HOVER as the criteria, you will see several files listed by Rob Barendregt which have the type of hover control I think you are describing. These are model specific but a review of them might help you understand what Rob (the guru of gauges) has done.

thanks for the reply.i already use his brilliant harrier and catapult/arrester gauges and love them. i found his helicopter gauge, but i dont like the way it gets activated automatically.the hover gauge from arne bartels can be activated when needed (under40 knots speed) and it works great for me with all kinds of different helicopters the only thing i cant figure out is how to find out which parameter lets me map the increase/decrease height switches to a key or joystick button. :( its pretty cumbersome to control that with the mouse. the gauge accepts different parameters in the panel.cfg. but i just cant find a complete documentation about all the different variables and such... :/
